maybe a hot take about kris deltarune. they are nonbinary, and i keep seeing people nitpick their every interaction with things associated with one of the binary genders to prove they are either transfem or transmasc. and, its so tiring, bc it feels like exactly what cis people do to many nonbinary ppl on a daily basis just to be able to put them into a comfortable gender-binary-based box.

i get it thay some nonbinary people do it because they feel represented—but there is a difference between headcanonning someone as transfem/masc bc you see your own experiences reflected in them, and its another thing to state as fact that kris is transmasc/fem coded.

why aren't we allowing nonbinary people to just... be nonbinary? without trying to prove they are on one side of a spectrum or the other???

i've never seen anyone say kris is coded as agender/androgynous/genderqueer/gnc and i think that speaks for itself
