he might be panicking — just a tad. hands reach up to his ears and tug them down to the sides of his head. there’s a knot forming in his stomach, wrapping around tighter and tighter, and his breathing comes in short, stuttering rasps.

yakko bends over slightly, hoping to get some air back into his lungs. his head was spinning and there’s moisture gathering at the corners of his eyes.

“ you’re okay. you’re okay. breathe, breathe. ” he tells himself this over and over, but he isn’t sure if he’s saying it out loud or if it’s just in his head. in the back of his mind, he hopes no one comes to check on him ; that would be mortifying, and he could handle this himself.
