fridays were usually pretty busy, with lots of people arriving to stay the weekend, but today had been surprisingly slow and roman was bored out of his mind. he’d gone around saying high to the few friends that were also working today, but he couldn’t leave the front desk unattended for too long so now he was sat here again, slouched in his desk chair, feet propped up on the desk. ramona had probably been the only friend he’d not been able to say hi to yet, so when she came up to the desk a bright smile appeared on his face. ‘if hot plans include watching all the new studio ghibli movies on netflix and cuddling my cat, then sure.’ he joked, ‘oh, we’re also throwing this cowboy party apparently. that’s hot plans, right? that counts. are you coming? please say yes.’
“oh, those are incredibly hot plans, are you kidding? i can’t believe i didn’t even know they were putting those movies on netflix, now my whole weekend is made. tell mimi hi for me, yeah?” she loved that little cat, even if she was mildly allergic and needed to take an antihistamine every time she went to visit. “um, yee haw, i guess?” ramona laughed, making a lasso motion with her arm half-heartedly. “yeah, of course i’ll come. will there be square dancing? please tell me there’ll be square dancing.” she clasped her hands together in mock eagerness. “whose idea was this? i mean, i love a themed party, but i just wanna know.”
