Something truly magical about seeing someone talking to a Smithsonian guide on the national mall and just hearing "When is X museum open?" "until 6 pm today" "and how much is that one?" "They're all free, miss." "The museums?" "Yes, entry is free to all Smithsonian museums." "Well!" Just a magical exchange. Yes, this is museum propaganda
My stupid poser kidnapper wants to show me my missing person's poster but I don't think they do those any more and I kept saying this but they wouldn't listen until they wordlessly handed me a printout of a bbc article talking about it. They want to compose a ransom note with newspaper type but don't know how to buy newspapers as someone under 60 without looking suspicious. The other day I saw in the fridge a carton of oat milk with a home-printed photo of me obviously taken by them awkwardly glued to the side. I don't even get a basement. This is a one-bedroom flat.
A lot of people still get the newspaper delivered. It's not weird, and buying a local print publication wouldn't be suspicious at all. Far more towns than many expect have local news publications that publish in a community collaborative effort if they don't have a dedicated local paper, often being put together by an unpaid women's organization. Many such cases! Never let the idea of state surveillance suppress supporting local print

The callout post was unnecessary
We doin this thing called holding up text to the audience now, fuck show don’t tell media comprehension so bad we goin back to the moving picture with text
how it feels to be a hadestown fan who got into it pre-broadway and you KNOW in your heart of hearts that the off-broadway version is objectively better and the changes made to the broadway version suck ass but everyone loves broadway hadestown and you don’t want to ruin their fun because at least the show is successful but at what cost
this post got more attention than I thought it would but everyone is being so nice and several newer fans are curious about what these changes are so I'm working on a rant/bad essay about it and I'll post it at some point and tag everyone who asked about it ok yay
wedding dresses are white specifically so that if the bride goes axe-crazy you can rest assured you will see the blood stains all over her and it'll be sick as fuck
