v1.2 Available Now!
RVWR 1.2 is now available. This update will not bring anything new for existing users but it does enable people who download the app to use it without ever signing up. This is exciting because it gives people a chance to try it out before they decide to sign up. Anonymous users can favorite and bump reviews as well as compose drafts. Once they decide to sign up all of that stuff carries over to their account. Creating an account gives users the ability to follow friends, publish reviews, and post comments. I think 1.2 will open the door to users who were a little hesitant on signing up because they weren’t quite sure what the app was all about -now they can get in and start using it right away.

v1.1 Out Now!
RVWR v1.1 has been approved and is now available for download!
There are so many new features in this release we had to bump the version up to 1.1! Ok, here it goes:
Listen Now - You can now add a Spotify track link to your review so that users can listen to the song right in the app! We’ve added a nice new music player to go with it (Spotify Premium account required).
More Categories - We’ve added Beverages, Apps, Clothing, Places, and Events to the list of review categories.
In-line Commenting - Comments now live inside the review details screen. No longer do you have to go to a separate screen to see the comments - now you can view and engage in the discussion right inside the review.
User Mentioning - You can now mention users in your comments. When you start typing you will see a drop down of suggested users to mention. Tap a user to add them to your comment.
Improved Location View - when searching by location or tapping a location in a review we now take you to an improved location feed that shows the location on a map along with the top reviews for that location.
Spotlight Search - You can now search for reviews via Spotlight Search.
Miscellaneous - You will no longer receive notifications when you are logged out of the app, improvements to Facebook login, UI updates throughout.
We hope you enjoy these new features as much as much as we do. As always, if you have an issues, suggestions, or just want to get in touch you can reach out to us at http://rvwr.io/contact/
RVWR is a something I came up with almost two years ago. I wanted to create an app for reviewing video games but realized it would be better if you could review anything and everything. I wanted to give people a one-stop-shop for reviews of all types while keeping it fun and social. Think of RVWR as Twitter and Yelp combined…but for everything. Now all you need is one app for your reviews instead of 5.
Sneak Peak at v1.0.4
We are hard at work on v1.0.4 of RVWR and wanted to give you a sneak peek.
Comments will now live underneath your review instead of being located on a separate screen. This is a much better experience and makes commenting much more easy.
We are also working on adding more categories and updating the UI to make it easier to read review titles.
Lastly we are trying to make it so you can reference someone in a comment (which would send them a notification).
I’ll report back here once the update is live (hopefully in about 2 weeks).
Below is the new look for comments:
v1.0.3 Release Notes
Version 1.0.3 brings a lot of nice new features:
Now you can see the top 20 reviewers by tapping the trophy button at the top of your feed. This is a great way to find new people to follow.
Find Facebook and Twitter friends on RVWR - Now you can see which of your Twitter/Facebook friends are using RVWR and choose which of them you want to follow. Just tap the settings gear in your profile to access this new feature.
Revamped drafts - By revamping drafts I fixed two bugs: Drafts are no longer included in your total review count and now when you publish a draft it shows up on the date you published it, not the date you started the draft.
Move review slider up for smaller screen sizes
You can now scroll the comment field when adding a long comment.
Made share text smarter - knows if you are sharing your own review or a friends review and adjusts the text accordingly.

RVWR Submitted for App Store Review
Today is the day. 19 months after I came up with the idea for RVWR I have submitted it to the App Store to be reviewed. This is crazy. I never thought this day would come. I hope everyone loves the app! See you on the other side.
RVWR is coming soon...srsly
Just wanted to check in and say that RVWR development is pretty much done. The only thing that remains is doing another QA pass to catch any last minute bugs as well as fixing an issue I’ve had syncing the current user with the Apple Watch. I currently have a Facebook engineer helping me with a fix for that. Once that is finished I will submit the app for App Store review. I am so ready to do this but also terrified.
Been ripping through development of RVWR over the past couple weeks. Everything has been going smoothly and the app is feeling more like something people are going to want to use. I specifically re-worked the search to be smarter as well as added the ability to browse by categories. Overall most of my time has been spent ironing things out, polishing, and fixing bugs. I’m feeling good! Looking for beta testers if anyone is interested.
Website Updated
Our website wasn’t working for a few days...maybe months. It’s fixed now and a lot prettier. I still need to update the copy but for the most part it’s done. Enjoy!

AngelPad #9
Just submitted RVWR’s application for AngelPad #9. For some reason I feel like this one could be it. I really hope they see the potential of RVWR. The deadline is May 31st...I wish I could hibernate until then :)
