small announcement from ya homegirl em

so uhh ,, ik i just joined the deltarune / undertale rpc and it’s suuper fun , but www i realized that all i’m doing whenever i make a roleplay blog is just roleplay ww – i don’t write actual stuff anymore or draw as much when i’m roleplaying because my dumb brain thinks that i have to be making replies at all times & when i tend to pile them up so much it’s suuper hard to catch up . and ik that roleplaying is just a hobby & every time i come back to the rpc i tell myself that , but ww it always happens because i’m a dumbass haha !!

so i just thought , after consulting my friends , that i should take a break , do more stuff , go on an epic journey of self-discovery or something like that ,, so yeah –

open starter // butterflies

IT WASN’T RARE FOR HIM to take a midnight stroll around the castle , it was almost a relaxing – the silence bringing him a void in which he can vent his frustrations wordlessly ( sometimes he thought the bugs he had collected in the shop were tired of listening to him complain ) . He hadn’t been able the go out like this for the longest time , royal duties and whatnot . It was tiring , sometimes tedious , not even lancer’s admittedly adorable presence could make the routine less monotonous . but finally , finally he could step out of the castle , lock his shop for the night , leave the guards for their own accord . and so he did .

the stars that littered the sky made the corner of his lips twitch upwards ever so slightly , he had almost forgotten how pretty the it could get around here . but the further he went , the happier he felt for actually finding the time to leave . the butterflies he only had the chance to see hardly ever were scattered all around . it might’ve just been him being tired , but it almost looked like they were emitting a small glow. this was perfect .

he didn’t have to look hard for a small patch of grass he could sit down on and observe the butterflies , a bright and oddly non-characteristic smile on his face that looked even more genuine with the relaxed sparkle in his eyes . and as he extended his hand for a butterfly to land on , he felt the presence of someone else around .

“ quite quaint , art they not ? ” he just felt too serene to break into his dramatic character for now .
