Got the pleasure of making two more of these cuties!

#yes the water orb isn't very Orb-like but I made it a softer edged crystal so I think that's fine :)#also figuring out how to do a beast gem was a neat challenge #since it's used for so many different monsters #I feel like it would be a different color depending on the monster it came from?#so to me a Lagombi would have a more ice colored gem #also 2 custom mini gem slots are available in my shop if people are interested

As the year comes to a slow close, I was going through my previous etsy orders and realized I've been making monster hunter scales since 2019! That's crazy! (Compared to the shadowboxes I've been making since only 2023.)

So I wanted to know which monsters have been the most popular, and after 3 hours of spreadsheets.... behold!!

I've made 447 scales over the years for 115 different monsters, including 33 Variants/Subspecies, 4 Risen/Arch Tempered, and 2 fan monsters. And I've made 87 shadowboxes for 49 different monsters.

Damn!!

And out of those 447 scales and 115 monsters who ranked above them all?

As the most popular (or at least most likely to be ordered)?

🎉 Zinogre!!! 🎉

With 31 different scales (20 for base Zinogre, 9 for Stygian, and 2 for Thunderlord Zinogre) Hoorah for the best lad!!!

Second place goes to Chaotic/Gore Magala with 26 scales Third place goes to the Nargacugas with 19 Fourth to the Rathaloses at 18 Then Mizutsune, Odogaron, and Tobi Kadachi with 17 scales And Fatalis, Lagiacrus, and Namielle with 15

And I wanted to give a shout out to the fact that I've gotten to make two different Namielle scales with hearts specifically requested to be on them 🥺💙 Fans have decided that love is stored in the Namielle!!!

And then a comparison of some of the first Nergigante and Deviljho scales I had done versus their 2025 versions!! (so much improvement)

Bonus: One of my recent shadowboxes that I really like the results of! (the glow and dragonator turned out so goooood!!!)

I’ve been doin some fakemon dawings from NokemonAI generated mons! Finally gettin around to posting them! First Batch, these are essentially just cleaning up what the ai generated, first sketchs traced while I figured out pokemon proportions.

Little red bird looked like a starter/fossil pokemon and my friends and I liked that idea enough I made some evos! (not fully finished/shaded yet). Based on a Hoatzin and knapped flint tools! Bit of a MH Teostra-type fire generation goin on with gas/sparks.

I... don’t know if I ever wrote up a proper blurb somewhere online about them but I’d best describe them as creature that is in Customer Service mode 90% of their life,, they are biting their tongue! and will be gossiping about it later!!
