End of the day, you dont have to disclose being ace to anyone but your romantic partner. It isn’t outwardly obvious like being same sex attracted or being transgender. Strangers on the street can’t clock you as ace and beat you up. It just doesn’t happen.

I always see aces claim things stated above have happened but when have you seen anything on the news about asexuals being murdered for being ace? Not getting a job? Not having their wedding cake made? Not recieving medical attention? I’ve searched everything I possibly can to find proof of these claims about corrective rape and such and nothing has been found. People are assholes, yes. People have treated asexuals like shit. But it’s not something that has to be said to anyone outside of a partner. It’s a choice to say it and it’s barely important to who you are. Gender and sexual identity play a much larger role in terms of your gender and the gender you’d date/fuck. Those are much more visible. You’re not gonna get clocked for having a monochrome and purple dragon pin on your backpack.
