But I stayed a little longer than I needed to so I could spend some time with mom and dad before I came back here. But, thank you so much! That sounds like a lot of fun - or it could’ve been a nightmare, I guess. But we’re glad to have you back - and thank you for hopping on board. What: Texas/Caribbean Benefit Concert Where: Eureka When: September 20th

Texas has held a special place in my heart since I was eight years old. I have no words. They’ve always been strong, and they will get through this, but they need all the help they can get. People have lost everything.

That being said, I’m setting up a benefit concert on top of donations. I’ll be performing, and anyone else is welcome to get up on stage and do what they do to contribute to a good cause. It’s hard to handle nine thousand wet people in an arena - we should all do what we can to help. Donations will also be made to victims of Hurricane Irma.

Been away doing some recording while the younger cast are filming. As some of you may know, I have a bit (okay, maybe more than a bit) of a crush on someone I am working with. I am normally fine at talking to him, or at least I was the first time around. This time, I was talking about anything that popped into my head. He must have been wondering what was going on with me. I have never been so embarrassed when I headed back to my room that night.

Alright, Meryl, you’ve got me completely invested in this now. It sounds like he’s turning you into a chick in high school again, and if someone makes you feel like that, that’s always a good sign. Don’t be embarrassed about it - it’s not a bad thing. You might think you sounded ridiculous, but he probably loved it.

So the lineup for our benefit concert is just about set - there’s still a good day or so to sign up if anybody’s interested last minute. We’ve moved it up a little, so now the proceeds will benefit victims of Harvey and Irma. The people involved are really good - I think it’s going to draw a good crowd. It’ll be fun.
