something I find interesting about the newest TADC episode that I personally haven't seen point out yet
we don't see Gangle's comedy mask at all. I think for the first time, though I'm not certain. she starts out the episode with the tragedy mask. we don't see the comedy mask break as in other episodes
i think it can be interpreted in various ways, but to me it points to character development. thanks to the convo she had with Zooble in episode 6, their growing relationship, etc, maybe she feels it's less necessary to "put on the happy mask", and just lets herself be like this. although her tragedy mask is also a mask-shaped, I personally interpret it as her face bc it doesn't break. and the comedy mask is the "masking" mask, if that makes sense. so this is her accepting that it's okay not to put on a mask in front of people.

Touch averse Alastor except he accepts the touch of his shadow tendrils and uses them often e.g. to undress and dress like Vox did with his cables. Also when he's not controlling them directly they still read his subconscious and act as little helpers.
in hindsight, this bitch really said "I had a manic episode so bad it killed me and I want to share how that feels with you".
but all those alastor’s fan who are mad because no-one went to save alastor do even watch the show?
we know that charlie can’t break the pact sinners made (or she would have already saved angel) and nifty and husk were right there when alastor made his pact with vox: they heard him made a pact and knew there wasn’t anything they could do (and also, they probably thought that alastor had something in mind)
and also in the finale, when charlie went to emily instead of alastor, why do people expected her to go to alastor? and not to the one who was actually hit by the angelic beam, while trying to save alastor nonetheless? and also, emily was more of a friend to charlie this entire season and helped her, while alastor was busy with his master plan (that was only about himself)
Something that I haven't seen getting talked about enough regarding Vox (because his crash out over Alastor overshadows it) is that he cannot handle having power. He wants to so so so so badly, but the moment he gets any, he starts losing his mind. I mean, look at his cult room just before his death.
Like babe, why are you standing in a pool? Why did you hang up all these TVs? This is so clearly manic, it's kinda insane.
And then in hell, sure Alastor adds fuel to the flame, but the moment Vox starts getting more power, feels there is more to grasp, he is starting to lose his cool. That man is not meant for being powerful, he needs some good dom to puppy train him or something so he can get all the affirmation he so desperately needs from that.
Okay, let's make it official - who do you think is going to get redeemed by the end of the season?
NOBODY!

The one other guest who's still at the hotel
Ugh, having to wait for the last episodes over two more days is torture when I'm so hyperfixated. Feels like I might just explode from all the anticipation.
Here's some basic predictions regarding Hazbin Hotel season 2 finale from me, based on what shots/lines from the main trailer we haven't seen yet and my personal hopes:
- Lilith makes a move
- Alastor gets his staff fixed/becomes powerful, and by the end he's back at the hotel
- Emily goes rogue and joins in with the hotel crew because Sara decides to listen to Lute and readies for war after Vox strikes heaven.
- Vox accidentally breaks the deal with Alastor and suffers some pretty bad consequences
- Lucifer gets captured as a battery (potentially use of angelic rope from Helluva Boss?) and he gets a scene of bickering with Alastor. Bonus points if Alastor uses this opportunity to make some kind of deal with him.
- Vox tries to (or at least plans to) ride shock.wav up to heaven
- Out of four songs left, 3 are in episode 7 and only one in 8, because episode 8 will be action packed
- Vees tower (of babel) falls.
- Angel Dust's fate is left up in the air by the end of the season.
Damn, whether it was true or not, Alastor telling Vox that he USED to respect him is a genius move. It instills Vox with the idea that Alastor COULD potentially respect him again. And he's been clearly trying so hard to make him in episodes 5-6. Stupid ass man.
Oh, and Alastor giving him just the tiniest amount of affirmation ("I guess it's something...") when Vox shows off his domination over the other Vees in ep 5. Literally chef's kiss.
Dude, by the end of the season I really need someone to kick vox's ass. That man is so kickable right now (/affectionate).
I sold my soul finishing this one btw..
Alastor v Vox - Manipulation, power, and mindset
Just a little analysis. Nothing too groundbreaking, but I've not seen it put in this comparative way before, so I wanted to contribute. It's been on my mind how both Vox and Alastor are manipulators and schemers but in different ways, and I finally got the way to phrase it.
