Can we just chill and appreciate that Severus Snape is a well written and realistic character with mental illness that didn’t lie in the cliche and overused trope “I’m a sad and self-destructive person but a living sunshine to everyone around me”? Although those people really exist they’re everywhere in fiction and it’s exhausting. Severus, on the other hand, is self-destructive but also harms everyone around him because it is all he got in his entire life.
