@saaaammmmmmmmm-blog
SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT
So if a teenager is at school for roughly 8 hours, and they are doing homework for 6+ hours, and they need AT LEAST 9 HOURS OF SLEEP FOR THEIR DEVELOPING BRAINS, then they may have 0-1 hours for other activities like eating, bathing, exercise, socializing (which is actually incredibly important for emotional, mental, and physical health, as well as the development of skills vital to their future career and having healthy romantic relationships among other things), religious activities, hobbies, extra curriculars, medical care of any kind, chores (also a skill/habit development thing and required by many parents), relaxation, and family time?Ā Not to mention that your parents may or may not pressure you to get a job, or you might need to get one for economic reasons.
I will never not reblog this
āā¦but teenagers have no reason to be stressed.ā
hey did you know anxiety levels in high school teens are actually as high as they were in insane asylum patients in the 1950ās? :)
Isnāt that what home room is for? An hour for homework before school actually starts.
sjsjsjsjsj at my high school we werenāt allowed to do homework in homeroom, so like you had to be sneaky if you were doing it
We only had home room in middle school and for us was literally like 5 minutes for attendance & announcements at the beginning of the day, waiting for dismissal at the end of the day, and where your locker was located near. It wasnt actually a class.
In homeroom in my school it is 45 minutes but the teachers assign shit to do during the homeroom period and due by the end of the homeroom period and they are assignments that take up the entire homeroom period so you canāt even do homework during the homeroom period and teachers get mad if youāre doing other shit instead of their work so like-
ho ho holy shit itās december first (1st)
Let me tell you about my panda mini-washer
As an apartment dweller, this is a game changer. My current apartment doesnāt have a laundry facility and the closest Laundromat about a 30 min bus ride which is just not practical. The mini-washer is a life saver
The panda mini washer hooks up to the sink, is incredibly lightweight (about 28 pounds, so light even I can lift it) and easy to use.Ā
It has a surprisingly large capacity. The basket from the first picture represents about one and a half loads. The jeans took up a whole load while the rest filled the bin only half way.Ā
Hereās the inside. The left is the washer the right is the spin dryer. Yes, it even drys.
Basically you shove your cloths into the washer, fill it up with water and let it go. I use my shower head to fill it up so it goes faster, the sink hook up took about five minutes to fill the whole tub, with the shower head is is down to a minute an a half. I do it in three wash cycles, a five minute rinse with baking soda, a five minute wash with soap and a three minute rinse with water. You have to drain and refill between each cycle so itās a little more labor intensive than a traditional washer.Ā
Thatās the spin dryer. Itās about half the capacity of the washer so one wash takes about two loads to dry. The spinner is much more effective than I was expecting. A three minute spin gets my cloths about 90% dry. I hang them up to air dry for that last 10%.Ā
The machine cost me about 150$. When you factor in two dollars for the bus, five for the machines (per week), the mini-washer pays for its self after only about six months worth of laundry.Ā
Iām not great at expressing emotion, but Iām hoping you can tell how excited I am. Ā Let me just say that the panda mini-washer is great and I highly recommend it to anyone currently using a Laundromat. Ā
Read this and immediately bought it on Amazon for $180. I spend $15 a week to have my laundry done so this pays for itself in 3 months for me. THANK YOU JESUS.
@ all my nyc pendejas
Oh by the way, they have table top dishwashers that are pretty much the same thing:
This is one of the biggest technological breakthroughs for the everyday homeowner in the current decade: the realization that refrigerators arenāt the only things that can be miniaturized for better affordability and minimal space requirements.
Can you IMAGINE how this is going to change the lives of college students and apartment-dwellers? Or anyone with a lower income who canāt afford a place with āluxuryā appliances like dishwashers and laundry machines?
Thereās an even cheaper option called the Wonder Wash where you tumble the thing yourself and youāll have to line-dry the clothes, but it apparently works very well.
As an apartment dweller, I want to spread this.
Save a life
Hereās a link to the Panda washer/dryer
if i end up on a tiny house this is necessity
I just want everyone to know that I will delete this blog and die before I ever make or reblog a post in which Annabeth is called Annie or Beth (even wise girl is pushing it at this point tbh) that is my truth, thank you and goodnight
people I still want to stab over a decade later:
Creative Writing Professor at a former college: Welcome to creative writing! By the way, you will not write fantasy, ghost stories, pranormal, or science fiction in this class, as this is a creative writing course.ā
What the ever loving fuck is withĀ ācreativeā writing professors who think that speculative fiction of any stripe ISNāT CREATIVE?
I still remember my own creative writing teacher telling me this because he saw the Terry Pratchett book on my desk and got this smug smirk on his face like āaha, gotchaā. He had the nerve to pick it up and call it āpopularist fictionā, like somehow being popular and easily accessible made it less inherent in intellectual value.
I had it in my back pack because I did my final thesis on the evolution of mythology and folk tails into fantasy and sci-fi and the societal importance of telling stories (before anyone asks, no I donāt have it, I lost it when I moved continents), and I used Terry Pratchett because there wasnāt a single humanitarian issue the man did not touch on.
Which I told him. And then he kind of floundered and went āah, well but, itāsā¦well I mean itās not exactly high browā, like neither the fuck was Shakespeare or Dickens you self-important turnip. Dickens was literally selling his stories by the chapter. He was the popular author of his time. Shakespeare was too, he fucking made up words and phrases all the time because the language he needed to express himself didnāt exist in the way he needed it too.
Intellectual elitism is nothing more than a hold over from class warfare and the belief that only certain people should get to be truly educated. And it needs to be smashed.

i love one (1) disaster wizard
Itās a good metaphor tho, because the situation is never going to get better if you donāt eventually pull the door. And afterwards, no matter what the damage was, youāll have a working cabinet, whatever plates you could salvage, and a place to start putting new plates.
Reblogging for that comment ^
Hats off for negative jokes turned to wholesome posts
I took my meds too close to bedtime again and I need you all to know the dream I had last night involved Robin Williams becoming the new Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. Not, a character portrayed by Robin Williams, just Robin Williams as himself running around Hogwarts doing wandless magic and being as loud and big as possible because and I quote before I forget:
āListen, children, Iām not saying all this bad shit that is happening isnāt scary and you shouldnāt be concernedābecause you should!ābut Iām telling you this now for free. Life is a boggart, itās the biggest boggart of them all. You never know what itās going to look like one moment to the next. And sometimes you just gotta laugh. Itās okay to laugh. Itās part of the grieving process. You need to grieve before you can heal. But itās okay to laugh while youāre doing it.ā
I didnāt wake up right after that, some more stuff happened in a hazy sort of way as the dream began to dissolve into conciousness, but I remember him yelling Expecto Patronum as he punched a Death Eater in the face. Because sometimes, evidently, you have to make your own happy memories.
I think Robin Williams literally visited you in your sleep from the beyond in order to pass this message on to the world.
Hey do y'all fucks remember two years ago when just before the election all these ādonāt vote both parties are badā or āvote independent!ā Posts were going around and then Trump won and now two weeks before midterms thereās all these ādonāt bother voting, revolution is the only way!ā And āyour vote isnāt gonna matter and is an ineffective way to protestā posts are going around? Yeah knock that shit right the fuck off, donāt fall for it and get your ass to the polls, we are not doing this again.

Iāve just discovered my new favorite painter, Vittorio Reggianini - those smarter than myself probably already know of him as an Italian painter from the 1800s who made satin look even satiny-er than satin. I just cannot get over how much he loved painting women who were NOT. HAVING. A. MANāS. SHIT.Ā
But there was one hottie that everyone seemed to like, and I canāt blame themā¦
Vittorio knows what the ladies like.Ā
Iām pretty sure that the women in the background of the third picture are looking at a ālewdā painting. They were sometimes kept by upper class homes in the 1800s. They were kept hidden behind a curtain and only viewed for *ahem*Ā ārecreational purposesā.Ā So basically, those ladies are looking at porn while their friend blithely humours Bouffant McShinypants.
This dude was an art god at 2 things:
1. Satin
1. Ladies leaning on a chair making aĀ ācan you believe this shit?ā face
and Iām here to admire both
This looks like the same group of ladies who are constantly chilling laughing at men I love it
confusing reality with dreams and having false memories is just my thing
