i’m so appreciative to suzanne for reframing the rebellion from the original trilogy as a “they saw their moment and took it” type situation and showing us that they’ve been trying, over and over, with so many failed attempts, to break the arena and incite a rebellion for decades. in this current political climate never giving up hope is so essential. haymitch wasn’t the first nor the last, and they kept going even when it seemed completely futile, and that’s what counts, and what ultimately saves them all.

Re reading the original hunger games is so funny bcus katniss can literally read haymitch's mind like what. I'm dying of thirst but haymitch hasn't sent me water, that must mean that there's some nearby!! And one kiss is one pot of broth!! Some of y’all are mad Sel wasn’t very present in OathBound like he was in BloodMarked because you don’t believe that this is Bree’s story. You just have to focus on the white secondary character or else your experience reading the book is ruined as so many of you have openly stated. You then proceed to villainize Nick and make up the dumbest things regarding him because you have no critical thinking skills and, once again, you just have to focus on anybody else but Bree. The Black girl Scion of Arthur who is the exact, and only, reason why LegendBorn exists. There would quite literally not be a story without her. Y’all need to get it together or leave this series alone.
