     Jack is definitely one to keep his anger bottled up — except that negativity never seemed to escape in an obvious way. As for violence, I can’t help but wonder exactly what he did to stay off the streets. Prostitution was, of course, a major part of reaching a higher class, but there’s a chance he took part in more violent acts. Also, I’d just like to marvel at Jack’s utter indifference towards things like slaughter. It’s marvellously chilling.

     To begin with something not entirely headcanon-y, I was really fascinated upon reading that flashback scene where Jack admitted to sort of.. coming to a point where he hated Lacie — just because of everything he’d been through. His very existence has become so tragically twisted, both psychologically and emotionally, that even when he does feel hatred towards people, it isn’t a pure emotion. Levi at one point said something along the lines of “he’s as twisted as he is pure.” That definitely sums Jack up concisely.

     A soft smile warmed to his features as he gazed at Chrom, who remained apparently half asleep. It was almost amusing, to see the prince like this -- hair tousled, sleep wear ruffled..

     Not that Jack actually cared.

     Still, that curiosity remained. So he reached and gently rested a hand upon the other's shoulder -- before rising. "I'll make some tea.." He'd only just learned how to use the contraptions in the kitchen -- the water boiler, and such. It was all rather astonishing, though useful nonetheless. The thought of living a domestic life seemed.. bizarre, and yet familiar enough. Jack intended to meld in with his surroundings -- and so he would.

     "Five minutes, then.."

Kill Me (I live to torture you)

     He despised her.

     He’d done it all for her — everything — and for what? Rejection? For so long had he striven to fit in with the higher class. To be accepted, just for once. It was sickening, how similar the goal was to that of his mother’s. Just thinking about it made Jack’s stomach churn.

     And so, there he sat, hovering over her with one hand tight upon her shoulder, keeping her pinned to the floor, while with the other he held a pair of scissors up high. The blond’s breath trembled, heart racing, and his gaze was sharp. For once.. the water of his very soul had been pierced, an amalgam of utter distraught, pain, and rage, visible within his stare. A storm of emotions at the very height of it’s climax seemed to rumble within his heart, as though ready to burst free at any moment—-

     ”I hate you.”

     His voice wavered, fingers tightening on the scissors. It was ironic, really — to hold such a weapon. Ironic and useful. The worst part, however, was Lacie’s response. She did not squirm. Nor did she reveal any fear. “I.. I see now that you are the one who as much took life from me as you gave it—”

     It was her smile that made his heart twist, as though he himself had already been stabbed. Breath hitching, Jack responded without thought, letting out a cry of anger — before he let loose. Slamming the scissors down, he stabbed her through the chest. It was more difficult than he’d anticipated, but he’d managed all the same. Upon pulling the weapon up, blood slicked his gloved hand, the dark red rapidly staining the soft material. But he wasn’t done yet, no. Having lost control to his emotions, all the things he’d held back for so long finally burst free. Again and again, Jack thrust the blades into her—

     Again. Yet again, until his arm began to tire. 

     He lost himself in the violent act, feeling as though he’d gone blind even while gazing upon her. But the sight of her body writhing in pain would not leave his mind so easily. The sound of her agony was no exception, either. 

     Eventually, Jack dropped the scissors with a clatter, slouching over as he stared at the result of his actions. Lacie laid beneath him — dead. A dark splatter of blood pooled about her, oddly fitting for her now-blank eyes. But they did not gaze at him. No teasing words were spoken by the woman, no smile visible upon her features.

     Simply death.

     Letting out a gasping breath, he reached up to his face — only to realize he’d begun to weep. Breath trembling, hot tears rolled down his cheeks. 

     But Jack smiled.

     Grasping at his face, peals of horrified laughter spilled from his lips, body wracked with realization of what he’d done. Finally. Finally, he had freed himself of her grasp — freed himself from all that she had brought him to feel. The evidence was there before him, laying upon the floor, in stains upon his hands — even his cheeks, now.

     But he felt no relief. No satisfaction. 

     In killing her, Jack had only secured his own cruel fate. There would be no escaping that void now.

(#ph spoilers) Building off of his response towards the slaughter that occurred during the Tragedy of Sablier, Jack is apathetic towards death in general. As seen in the scene just referenced, he wasn’t bothered by Glen murdering everyone in the vicinity — but rather that his plans were being interrupted. So long as it isn’t the death of someone close to him (such as Lacie,) it typically won’t bother Jack. This is largely due to the sheer degree of hardship that he endured before being accepted by the Vessalius dukedom. With time, he gradually lost track of his own emotions, becoming more of a vessel for the lies he wove.
