Sabrina Clare is twenty-four years old and is a passenger aboard The Sapphire. She is a teacher. Sabrina is represented by the Moon Tarot card
Sabrina Clare was born to a pair of traveling teachers who wanted to impart their knowledge on the growing generation. And travel the world, of course. Sabrina herself was born in the Philippines while her parents were there teaching. Although Sabrina liked the travel and seeing new places, she was lonely from moving year after year. It was hard to make friends when you knew you’d have to leave them soon. Not to mention the language barriers from some of the more exotic locations. It was in one of these locations that the unthinkable happened. They were living in Indonesia when an earthquake happened. Her parents had been off looking at houses to rent while Sabrina remained behind at the hotel they’d been staying at for a couple weeks. Both of her parents were killed in the natural disaster, and Sabrina was left alone in the world. Her aunt back in the States had no choice but to take in the child when she was barely ten years old.
Though Sabrina liked the stability she had with her aunt, she missed the warmth of loving parents. Her aunt tried hard, of course, but she’d never even wanted kids herself and had no idea how to raise her. Instead, Sabrina was mostly left to raise herself, but that was fine with her. She didn’t need anyone to try to replace her parents, much less someone who considered telling an eleven year old how to get a sugar daddy was good parenting. She somehow made it though middle and high school in one piece, even graduating valedictorian of her high school. She received a full ride to a local college and lived at home for the first two years of it, moving out only when she was certain that she’d be able to make it through. After graduating with a degree in education, she got a job in Virginia teaching kindergarten.
Sabrina has been loving every minute of life since then. Though she had been skeptical about the age she was teaching, she ended up loving her kids. And by living on the frugal side of live coupled with some of the money her parents left her, she has enough money each year to travel for a couple weeks during the summer. It’s been a dream. Things got even better when she met movie star Jasper Miller on one of her vacations. Since then, they’ve been almost a perfect couple. She’s actually been considering leaving her job to move to California with him. She has enough saved up to last her a while, and she can always get a job teaching older children online if she needs to. Either way, it’s a big step. And Sabrina believes that she’s ready to take it.
+ sweet, nurturing, witty
- anxious, over-enthusiastic, stubborn
Sabrina absolutely despises her birthday. It was on that day, June 4th, that her parents were killed. The day only serves as a reminder of what she’s lost.
Originally, Sabrina had planned on going into journalism in college. She’d always loved writing and though it would be perfect. However, she ended up taking a job in college as a daycare worker and ended up loving the kids. She changed majors and got her degree in Early Childhood Education so she could become a kindergarten teacher.
Though she was initially jealous of Jasper’s life, she’s come to understand that he wouldn’t hurt her. She’s grown used to most of the publicity surrounding him and their relationship. Though she’s not fond of the public’s eye on them, she’s willing to do it if it means she gets to stay with Jasper.
