Maya 2 reel from last term (Term2)

What I have so far from this term’s CG Animation class.

I recently watched the movie V for Vendetta and I have to say, it’s one of my favorites now. The scene where Natalie Portman reads Valerie’s letter made me cry.

“But what I hope most of all is that you understand what when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. Valerie.”

Last term, for Art of Research, I put together this graphic presentation for my teams story that we had to come up with for our assignment.

Stained.

A young boy is born into a world where life and death does not exist. People are like porcelain dolls that do not emote. They only speak about useless chit chat and never go beyond to create meaningful relationships with one and other. Until one day a woman somehow fell in love and gave birth to a boy who was adorned with beautiful tattoos that prophesied the end of this kind of society. Where ink would rain down on the people and had tattoos spread on their skin like a disease. With the rain came powerful emotion. Some people could not handle that kind of change and died from the struggle of handling all the emotions that poured in. One of these people who passed away happened to be the wife of a man who is now very heartbroken and upset at the boy who took everything away from him. So, the man paid back what he owed and took the young boy’s life. However, with an end there comes a new beginning. Although, the boy has died the story comes back full circle to the mother--the first to ever love. She takes this opportunity to teach to the people that with these new emotions it is better to love than hate in this world.
