It really is so weird how none of the non-human companions in DAI let you bond with them about being non-human. The Iron Bull insults Adaar for thinking they’re Qunari, and then when your character claims the Tal-Vasoth title, he belittles you for it.

Solas and Sera insult Lavellan’s culture and religious beliefs, and rejects the player for trying to talk to them about being elven.

And while Varric isn’t as hostile to Cadash as the others are, it is very clear that he harbours his own insecurities and the game doesn’t let you have any lines at all about it, save in the beginning when you are identified as Carta, and that is it. Save some lines about «real dwarves» in Hissing Wastes.

It is just. Such an odd choice. And makes me sad for the non-human pc’s.

& honestly there's no debate to be had the zendaya earrings are orders of magnitude worse than kim kardashian wearing that marilyn dress. yes that piece was a one of a kind unique textile made so specifically for marilyn monroe she had to be sewn into it. at the end of the day it was a ~70 year old usamerican cultural artefact being repurposed by an american for an american cultural event and everyone involved knows exactly where the dress came from + what happened to it + where it went afterwards. zendaya is wearing the looted (or forged) cultural heritage of a people her government is currently bombing & whose lives they have been deliberately making unliveable for decades to a movie premiere that has fuck all to do with iran. we don't know where those discs came from where they were found or by whom & we never will. Man. I really love that whole sequence in the finale of Caine in the void, but I had such a hard time understanding what was happening. But then I thought about it for a bit, and I feel a little stupid for not catching on sooner.

My first assumption was that we were seeing two different views of the same scene, but that's not it. The parts showing the red dot are quite literally showing the creation of the circus, as well as Caine taking his form, and the steps Caine had to make to do so, and how they mirrored the steps he needed to take to access the wifi to look up the cast's names. Both of which he couldn't have done on his own, as we see his own abstract shapes fail. He needed to hone the power of the blue dot to do both.

So when Caine mentions at the end that he can't do as much as he could before, that's what he meant, or at least part of it. Which is to say that he probably doesn't have access to the neural scans anymore, so no more people can enter the circus. And it probably also means that he can't mess with the cast's minds.
