Hi there! :)
I go by Mop around these parts. There's some info in my description, but I figured I can make one of these longer info posts, too.
I am Roman Catholic. I believe it to contain the fullness of truth. Prayer is a very important part of my faith. You will see at least a few prayer requests being shared on this page most every day.
I'm also a nerd and have some interests I quite like. I will post about those, too.
I quite like:
Nintendo, but especially The Legend of Zelda series (special interest)
FFXIV / The Final Fantasy series (special interest)
Bunnies! (special interest)
Fantasy, in general
The Lord of the Rings
Participating in and learning about the Catholic faith
Art (viewing, studying, and creating). I'm still very much a beginner, but @mops-show-floor is where I very infrequently post my own art
I also have a side blog @mop-b-room where some assorted art and things I find interesting online are reblogged
TTRPGs, (especially Pathfinder 1e, but open to D&D as well).
Painting Miniatures (for ttrpgs)
Video games, in general. They're usually pretty fun!
Silly/Dumb humor and memes
Anime (I'm slowly getting back into it)
My awesome friends/mutuals (You are so greatly appreciated! ☺️)
Meeting people! Feel free to introduce yourself/message/send an ask, if you'd like to! I'd be happy to hear from you. 👋😄
I'm autistic (level 1). (I used to have what was called asperger's syndrome, but they're pretty much under the same autism umbrella now, from what I understand.) Anyway, I will probably miss a social cue from time to time, and care deeply for my special interests. I'm also a bit of an introverted/quiet person, too. (I need to take care of my social battery.) If this stuff is kept in mind, things should be alright. :)
I have partial myoclonic epilepsy. Which is NOT the type most people think of when epilepsy comes to mind (tonic clonic). There are several types of epilepsy, and there is much to be researched still.
For mine, part of my body (i.e. arm, leg, head, or back) suddenly moves in a jolt (once, or a couple times) without any input from me. It lasts less than a second, most of the time is painless, and (to my knowledge) I am fully conscious/aware of them happening. It looks like a twitch, or a couple of them, basically.
I usually only get about handful of them in a day, and mostly in my leg. There's days when I have fewer, and some when there's more. Nothing super crazy... Though, it can tire my brain out a little... Might need a quick moment, (or sometimes if it's strong) a nap afterwards.
Flashing lights are NOT a trigger for me, but I don't go out of my way to find them. You do not need to worry about this for me, but for other epileptics definitely check in with them first! It could very well be life-changing... Want to quickly shout out www.epilepsy.com for being a great all-around resource for epilepsy information.
Currently, my myoclonic seizures are primarily controlled.
With my autism and epilepsy, I'm fairly scatter-brained. My focus/memory can sometimes be fickle... If I've forgotten, or have taken a long time to respond to something, that can be the reason why. Either that, or I'm busy. I will try to my best to respond, though.
