It's so funny going on Mass Effect Reddit these days, because I do remember clearly how anti-Kaidan the whole fandom was a few years ago. Like you'd get roasted so bad for saying you liked him that I had to join a closed FACEBOOK GROUP to participate in Kaidan appreciation.

So on r/MassEffect I was kind of expecting to see more of the same (because it's Reddit, the best place to go to gauge how obnoxious an entire fandom actually is). But no actually, instead of "Ew Kaidan, I killed him on Virmire" I now see him sweeping entire posts, and all the comments are either about what a tanked-ass biotic Kaidan is, absolutely OP as fuCK ("did you know he can REAVE???? HE CAN REAVE!!!!!!") or that people are very very very horny for him +70 upvotes. Or both. Also a lot of memes about coming out of the closet, which are actually funny.

I just think it's kind of sweet to see things flip after a full decade of gamerchad behavior. Kaidan's finally getting his flowers 💐 And Ashley, too, for that matter, since people are a lot nicer and more nuaced about her these days as well.
