When Anneliese Michel was 16, in she experienced a seizure and was diagnosed with psychosis caused by temporal lobe epilepsy. After she was diagnosed with depression went to a psychiatric hospital. She experienced severe convulsions. Her classmates later described her as "withdrawn and very religious". When she was 20, she had become intolerant of various religious objects and began to hear voices. Her condition worsened despite medication, and she became suicidal, taking medication for many other symptoms as well. After taking psychiatric medications for five years failed to improve her symptoms, Michel and her family became convinced she was possessed by a demon.
Believing she was possessed, she ripped the clothes off her body, did up to 400 squats a day, crawled under a table and barked like a dog for two days. She ate spiders and coal, bit the head off of a dead bird, and licked her own urine from the floor. She broke the bones and ripped the tendons in her knees from continually kneeling in prayer. As a result, her family appealed to the Catholic Church for an exorcism. While rejected at first, two priests got permission from the local bishop, to perform the exorcism in 1975. The priests began performing exorcisms and the family stopped consulting doctors. Anneliese stopped eating food and died of malnourishment and dehydration after 67 exorcism sessions.
At her time of death, Anneliese weighed only 66 pounds and was suffering from multiple broken bones and pneumonia. She died at just 23 years old. Anneliese Michel wrote, “I am nothing, everything about me is vanity, what should I do, I have to improve, you pray for me” and also once told him, “I want to suffer for other people… but this is so cruel.”
Dana Michelle Plato born November 7, 1964 was an American actress. She rose to fame for playing Kimberly Drummond on the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes making her a teen idol of the time
She was adopted by Dean Plato and his wife Florine Plato. When she was three, her adoptive parents divorced and she lived with her mother
At a young age, Plato began attending auditions with her mother, and by the age of seven had appeared in over 100 television commercials. She was also a talented figure skater who trained for a potential spot on the Olympic team
During her years on Diff'rent Strokes, Dana struggled with drug and alcohol problems; she admitted to drinking alcohol, using weed and cocaine, and suffering an overdose of diazepam when she was 14
In December 1983, Plato moved in with her boyfriend, Lanny Lambert. The couple married and had a child, Tyler Edward Lambert. When it was revealed that she was pregnant, she was written out of Diff'rent Strokes. She was happy about her baby, in an interview with People magazine: "When I get the baby, I will never be alone again.'"
Plato separated from Lambert in January 1988, the same week her mother died of scleroderma. She signed over power of attorney to an accountant who ran away with most of her money, leaving her with less than $150,000. She said the accountant was never found or prosecuted despite an exhaustive search, and that he had also stolen more than $11 million from other clients. In her divorce, Plato lost custody of her son to Lambert and was given visitation rights.
On February 28, 1991, Plato entered a Las Vegas video store, showed a pellet gun, and demanded the money in the cash register. After she left with the money, the stunned worker called 911 and said, "I've just been robbed by the girl who played Kimberly on Diff'rent Strokes." Fifteen minutes after the robbery, Plato returned to the scene and was immediately arrested. She had stolen $164.
Toward the end of her career, Plato was forced to do roles that were erotic; she appeared nude in different films and in the softcore porn drama Different Strokes: The Story of Jack and Jill...and Jill. In the same year Dana appeared in a cover story of the lesbian magazine Girlfriends.
On May 7, 1999, Plato appeared on The Howard Stern Show. She spoke about her life, discussing her financial problems and past with the law. She admitted to being a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, but claimed she had been sober for more than ten years and was not using any drugs. Many callers to the show taunted her along with Howard stern, which angered and provoked her, and she defiantly offered to take a drug test on the air.
The next day Upon awakening, her family discovered that Plato had died in her sleep at the age of 34. It was assumed to be an accidental overdose, but was later ruled a suicide.
Dana Plato's son, Tyler Lambert, shot himself at 25 years old in 2010, struggling for years with his mother's death and facing his own battles with substance abuse.
Rest in peace to them both.
Paul Glenn Boyd was born September 30, 1967, in Pasadena, California. He grew up showing an unusual gift in the visual arts.
He began his career working for the animation company International Rocketship on two Gary Larson specials, before becoming a member of the production team for Cartoon Network's Ed, Edd n Eddy, where he worked as a title sequence animator and director.
During the 1990s, Boyd taught many young animators at the Vancouver Film School. A prize in his honour for the top student in Classical Animation at the Vancouver Film School is funded by his family and presented three times per year.
While in his 20s, Boyd was diagnosed with bipolar disorder that he received effective treatment for almost 20 years.
On August 13, 2007, Boyd was shot and killed by Vancouver police officer Lee Chipperfield. A video recorded by tourists showed Boyd being shot nine times after wielding what was believed to be a bicycle chain, while other witnesses states it was merely paperclips, at officers who came to respond to a disturbance involving him. The ninth shot that struck Boyd was fired as he was on the ground. Chipperfield was allowed to return to work the next day. The excessive force was criticized by many of Boyd's friends and family
May 2012, a video captured by a tourist's video camera surfaced. In the video, which starts just as a the 7th and 8th shots went off, Paul is seen crawling on the road, unarmed. In the time between the eighth and ninth shot, an officer is standing near Paul holding the chain and throwing it to the side providing evidence that Boyd was unarmed at the time the fatal shot was fired.
The Ed, Edd n Eddy episode "May I Have This Ed? / Look Before You Ed!" is dedicated in Boyd's memory, "Paul Boyd 1967-2007. We miss you, you big lug!".
Ronald Merle McNutt was a 33-year-old resident of Mississippi. He had a job at a Toyota plant and was a practicing Christian who was involved in local theater. McNutt was a Christian who regularly attended church.
He struggled with mental health issues, including depression and PTSD after his military service in Iraq from 2007 to 2008. Some reports also said that he lost his job during the COVID-19 pandemic. Reports indicate that he had also recently broken up with his girlfriend.
On August 31, 2020, McNutt began a livestream on Facebook Live. His best friend, Joshua Steen, noticed the stream. He told Rolling Stone that McNutt "often used a livestreaming platform as his form of therapy", regularly conversing with viewers; but he noticed this time his friend "appeared to be heavily inebriated and despondent", and misfired a rifle into the air at one point. Joshua claimed that he attempted to intervene numerous times – particularly when McNutt misfired the rifle – hoping that Facebook would cut off the stream and end the video feed, preventing people from seeing into McNutt's home while Steen sought police intervention. Facebook refused to cut the stream, claiming that the stream was not in any violation of its platform's guidelines, as McNutt hadn’t killed himself yet.
As the stream went on, Ronnie’s cell phone rang frequently. The last call he received was from his girlfriend, which he answered, leading to a brief argument between the two. After she ended the call, McNutt took hold of the gun and addressed the audience for the final time, saying his last words, "Hey guys, I guess that's it." He then aimed the rifle under his chin and fatally shot himself
Shortly before the livestream, he made a final Facebook post that read, "Someone in your life needs to hear that they matter. That they are loved. That they have a future. Be the one to tell them
Two days after his suicide, McNutt was buried in Snowdown Church of Christ Cemetery in Prentiss County, Mississippi
This case sparked a debate over internet platforms that fail to remove graphic and disturbing footage from public view, with the blame being placed on Facebook for not cutting off the livestream during the initial suicide attempt. Joshua Steen, and many of Ronnie’s other friends, say they had reported the livestream to Facebook "hundreds" of times before his death. Joshua also called Facebook multiple times, and had called the police, neither of which stopped the stream before Ronnie killed himself.
Rest in peace Ronnie.

Later, he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Less than two years prior Marshawn Kneeland's mother died unexpectedly of an unnamed illness before he was drafted by the Cowboys. Marshawn always carried his mother's ashes with him in a necklace.
Following his death, the Cowboys released a statement describing him as a beloved teammate and sending thoughts and prayers to his family. Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer announced the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund, which will raise funds for Catalina and the baby.
Catalina posted on Facebook “As I continue honoring Marshawn’s memory, I’m trying to gather as many photos and memories of him as possible. If you have any pictures of Marshawn I would truly appreciate it if you could share them with me. Every photo helps me hold onto a piece of him and the beautiful impact he had on all of us.”
Rest in peace Marshawn.

On April 22, 1930, while working at the Marine Hospital, Carl Tanzler met Maria Elena Milagro de Hoyos who had been brought to the hospital by her mother due to her sickness.
Elena caught tuberculosis and Carl tried to cure Elena with many treatmenys at her home. Carl gave Elena gifts of jewelry and clothing, and allegedly professed his love to her, Elena did not feel the same.
Elena died at her parents' home, after her burial Carl removed her body from the mausoleum.
He attached the corpse's bones with piano wire and gave her glass eyes. As she decomposed Carl replaced it with silk cloth soaked in wax and plaster of Paris. When hair fell out of Elena's decomposing scalp, Tanzler fashioned a wig from her hair. Tanzler filled the corpse's abdomen and chest with rags to keep the original form, dressed Elena's remains in stockings, jewelry, and gloves and kept the body in his bed. Tanzler also used perfume, disinfectants, and preserving agents to mask the odor and slow down the decomposition.
Eventually Elena's sister Florinda confronted Carl at his home after hearing rumors of him sleeping with her sisters body. Elena's body was eventually discovered after he was seen dancing with her corpse in front of a window. Carl was arrested and detained.
Two physicians recalled in 1972 that a tube had been inserted in the vaginal area of the corpse that allowed for intercourse.
Carl created a effigy of Elena and lived with it until his death at age 75.
Carl was found in the arms of Elena's effigy upon discovery of his corpse.
