it's three in the morning, and she's sitting on his counter, eating a sandwich she found in his fridge. she knows the quiet crunch of each bite she takes will be enough to wake him, but really, he should be used to this kind of thing by now.

it’s dark. he’d heard someone come into his apartment. he shouldknow better by now, but he doesn’t. his knife glints in the half-light as he padsslowly, carefully, quietly, into his kitchen, where the sounds of crunching tell himthat his intruder is also raiding his fridge. eliot peers around the corner before aquiet “dammit, parker!” breaks the stillness. he moves in to the kitchen to leavehis knife on the counter. “you could call, man. you’re lucky i waited. could’a killedyou without even lookin’.”

it’s unlikely that parker would have kids without being in a committed relationship and talking it through for probably years with her partner on how they can take care of a child with her lifestyle. there would be a lot of fear for her to get over-- while she loves children, she would need to get over the fear that she would mess them up somehow. parts of her still struggle with empathy and she worries she’ll do irreparable damage to a child if she’s meant to care for one full time. it’d take a supportive long-term relationship with someone (or someones) to get past that.

beyond that, if she were to ever have kids, she would insist that they be adopted from the foster system and eight years old or older, as the adoption rate for those kids plummets. she remembers what it’s like to be in the system, so she’d want to give a kid like she was a loving home.
