You gotta do the work and prepare even when God calls you to wait and be patient for a season.

If you know that God has called you to be a chef. Don’t sit around and not cook for months or even years. Perfect your craft in the wait. Cook things you’ve never cooked. Try food you’ve never tried. Get your recipes down. Then, when God opens the door for you to have an amazing job as a chef, you will be ready when God says “go”!

If you know that God has called you to be an entrepreneur. Don’t just sit around for months or even years doing nothing! Learn how to run a business. Get your clientele ready. Get the business plan ready. Then, when God opens the door for you to run an amazing business, you will be ready when God says “go”!

In my case, I know that God has called me to be a singer and a musician. I haven’t just sat around doing nothing for the past year or so. God pushed me to write songs, learn how to sing better, get better at playing piano, and better at creating music so that when He opens the door for me to walk in my calling, I will be ready when He says “go”!

David in The Bible didn’t fight Goliath unprepared. David was out in the field fighting off big animals, like lions and bears, with his rock slingshot for years to protect his sheep!!!!! Are yall getting me? David was prepared to fight Goliath! David was ready when God said “go”!!!!!

God let me know that He doesn’t want me to go where He is taking me unprepared. I have learned that there is preparation that happens in the waiting season. The wait is there to prepare us for what’s to come! The wait is not supposed to be for nothing! If you do nothing in the waiting season then it will be for nothing! There is supposed to be growth and preparation that happens in the waiting season so don’t do nothing in the waiting season. It could be YOU that is keeping you from where God is wanting to take you. God doesn’t want to take you into your next season unprepared so if you haven’t been preparing, get to work! Get prepared for what God wants to prepare you for! Be obedient to God!

Namjoon is really someone between a dream and a miracle, but he’s so much more beautiful & important in reality.

I have been just listening to his entire mixtape the past 2 hours & I just cried listening TO EVERY SINGLE TRACK. A mixture of sorrow, emptiness but healing at the same time. It’s like with every track, I was falling in love for the first time. And it’s another side of Namjoon, another side of RM & I fell in love with him all over again. He really poured his heart and soul into each song & somehow showed me my soul in the midst of my heart. Every track, every line, every lyric is so beautiful & raw. I keep choking up just talking about. This is such a special mixtape, I wish I could really just give Namjoon a big hug.
