Would you ever want to swim with sharks?
âOh, gosh. I think that would be a little scary...but I guess if I had a trained professional with me or something like that...?â
captainxflint:
âI find I get a better response if I ask with cookies in hand.â He replied, stepping into the residence. â Oh Iâve already eaten like seven. It was my dinner. I need them out of my sight.â
Sage grinned as Flint stepped through the door and she closed it behind him, then immediately whirled around to point a finger at him. âThatâs a smart move, Flint.â She chuckled lightly at the maleâs words, planting her hands on her hips. âAnd now you want me to help you make more?!â
addiestxrling:
âIt wasnât what I was initially going for, but I donât think Iâm cut out for much else.â Addie smirked at the blonde. âItâs fine, I can take a compliment, Iâm not going to freak out.â
Sageâs eyes widened just slightly and she shook her head quickly, holding out a hand. âNo, no, I didnât mean to imply--â She paused for a moment, then swallowed hard, trying to maintain some sense of composure. After a moment, a slight smile touched her lips and she tilted her head, âIâm sure youâre...cut out for more than you think?â
nate-conners:
Nate laughed, watching the blondeâs cheeks completely flare up. âItâs alright, you didnât disturb me. If anything it was entertaining.â
Sage nodded slowly, her teeth worrying into her bottom lip briefly. âWell, Iâm-- glad I could entertain you?â She cleared her throat and glanced away, now feeling the need to make the conversation more interesting. âSo...what food are you shopping for?â
addiestxrling:
âIâve been trying so hard to learn and I have some of it down, but I canât get my hands and brain to work at the same speed. Maybe Iâll just sit and look cute with a guitar and just use it as an accessory.â
âIf youâre going for cute, itâs working.â Sage replied before really letting her brain process what she was saying. Once she realized though, she swallowed hard, shaking her blonde head quickly. âI mean! It uh-- it looks good-- I mean, itâs...it suits you?â
alexandriaxblackwood:
âI say go for all of the above, because why not?â she said, shrugging. âIt canât hurt to have both, and itâs not like theyâre super pricey or anything.â She smiled, tucking some of her hair back. âThatâs just me, thoughâ
âI mean, you do...make some good points.â Sage giggled lightly, her eyes darting away from the womanâs briefly. She placed both cartons in her basket. âI just hope that itâs not possible to eat too much fruit!â
yoosungryu:
Yoosung tried to ignore the (what felt like) hundredth wave of sadness that threatened to take over. Could it be because this stranger sounded like Skylar with how insecure and apologetic they were being? âDonât apologize.â He managed, swallowing thickly and averting his eyes. âI donât think itâs a lot to eat. Fruit is healthy, so you donât have to feel bad about eating a little more than planned. Itâs nice as a snack, you can add them to your breakfastâŠâ He trailed off, pushing his hands deeper into the pockets of his hoodie and letting out a soft chuckle. âTry to make the most out of life while you can, right?â
âYouâre right, Iâm--â Sage stopped herself before she could apologize again, a weak chuckle falling off her lips as she shook her head. She nodded along with his wise words, a small smile forming on her lips. âOkay, youâve convinced me.â She placed both cartons into her basket, then turned her attention to the male again. âYou should be a public speaker or something. Youâre a great motivator.â
roxanne-dubois:
Roxanne was doing her own shopping, when she heard the other woman. She looked over at her and smiled softly. âI say go with both,â she said with a shrug of her shoulders. âWhy not indulge?âÂ
âIndulgeâ wasnât really a word that was in Sageâs vocabulary very often, but the older woman was so pretty and surely, Sage told herself, she must know what she was talking about. The blonde nodded cautiously, a small smile touching her lips. âYeah...yeah, maybe I should.â She glanced at the two cartons in her hand again, then finally placed them in the basket resting in the crook of her arm.
nate-conners:
Nate had no idea what he was doing at the grocery store when it was practically dawn outside. He couldnât sleep, he had hit a block with his work so naturally it meant groceries apparently. He didnât expect anyone else to be here, but of course the person that was going to be there was going to be the one that was talking to herself. â People are going to think youâre losing it if you keep that up.â
âWha--â Sage turned quickly at the sound of a male voice, her cheeks instantly growing red. âI-- Iâm so sorry. I didnât mean to...disturb you.â
maikovich:
Maiah lifted her hands away from her face and looked over at Sage with widened eyes as well. That wasnât exactly the reaction she expected to hear, but it made her feel, in a way, satisfied. âYeah, I know it was for the better. I just wish I wouldnât have been so reckless or irresponsible. Maybe I should have had another job lined up before I said anythingâŠBut she was being really rude. Everything I did was met with opposition or a complaint.â Maiah explained as a small smile grew on her lips. âThank you. Although, I guess I could always find another nanny job.â
Sage shrugged her shoulders lightly, a small smile still on her lips. She couldnât relate to the girlâs idea of being too reckless; Sage had never been reckless a day in her life. But she didnât want the girl to feel bad about making the decision she did, either. âYeah, thatâs umh-- thatâs not a good environment to work in.â Her eyes lit up at the girlâs next statement and she nodded her head quickly. âYes! Iâm sure you can. Is that what you like doing?â
liam-scogin:
âStrawberries,â Liam mumbled tiredly to the stranger, seemingly the only other person in the grocery store. His crazy work and school schedule got him grocery shopping at the strangest times of the night. âThey last longer than raspberries, so I usually go for strawberries.â
âOh, sorry, I--â The blonde immediately began to apologize for talking out loud, then stopped herself, pressing her lips together tightly. âThank you,â She replied, nodding her head a bit as she gently placed the carton of raspberries back down. âI think youâre right.â
The last time you felt broken?
âOh...wow-- thatâs umh, thatâs pretty deep? Maybe we could go for a lighter question?â
wllowharpr:
Willow walked through the produce section, basket tucked onto her arm when she heard a voice. âOoh, strawberries. Raspberries are too sour, and they have those little seeds.â She stuck her tongue out, then reached for her own container of the juicy looking red berries.
Sage let out a surprised chuckle, partly from the fact that someone was actually listening to her talk to herself and partly from the response she got from the other female. She took a moment to examine the small carton of raspberries, turning it over in her hand. âI guess they do look kind of...odd, donât they?â She replied. âBut I mean...thereâs something beautiful about them at the same time?â She glanced up quickly, her cheeks reddening slightly. âOr maybe thatâs just me.â
kavyadavies:
âJust life getting to me I guessâ She chuckled lightly before sighing. âBut whatever, câest la vieâÂ
The blondeâs smile faltered just slightly and she glanced down at her hands, folded and placed neatly on top of her lap. âIâve always liked that phrase.â She glanced back up at the female. âI guess Iâve never really...put it into practice much, though.â
yoosungryu:
Yoosung had blankly been staring at the alcohol section for what felt like an eternity. The blond didnât want to resort to such a cliche way to deal with his stress, which was the only reason he was taking so long. He wasnât usually indecisive, but this was a battle between his body craving a distraction and his mind knowing better than to get himself wasted by himself. He was startled by the sound of someoneâs voice â it was too loud in the silence â making him turn his head in the direction the noise had come from. âIf you can get both, why not get both?â He muttered, too tired to even sound annoyed anymore.
Sage turned quickly to the source of the voice, surprised that someone had even heard her and had been willing to answer her. âOh...â She paused, considering the maleâs question. She glanced down at the selections in her hands. âI guess I...could? But would it be a waste? I mean, would I really eat that much before they went bad?â She pursed her lips in thought, then shook her head a bit. âIâm sorry. I donât mean to...bore you. These are just...the things I think about, I guess.â She managed a weak laugh, shrugging her shoulders lightly.
maikovich:
âI just told my boss to suck a lemon and that I quitâŠOh my god, I just told my boss to suck a lemon and quit my job.âIâm screwed. Iâm absolutely screwed.â Maiah hid her face in one of her hands as she let out a groan. âDo you know anyone who would hire someone to play video games for them all day. I have a particular expertise with PC games.â
âWow, thatâs...thatâs awesome!â Sage exclaimed, her eyes widening as she girl spoke. Of course, it was something the blonde would never be able to do herself, but she could cheer on the people who had that kind of bravery. âIf you were that passionate about it, though...then it was probably a good idea to leave that job anyway?â She pursed her lips, then finally shook her head slightly. âNo...Iâm sorry. But Iâll keep my ears open?â
âHmm...strawberries...? Or raspberries?â Sage mused aloud to herself, holding a small container of each in her hands. It was late, late into the night and Sage was virtually alone in the grocery store at this time of night, so she felt more comfortable talking to herself as she deliberated, her brow furrowing in concentration. âI suppose I could get both...?â
