The tourism is based largely on gambling with its numerous casinos scattered all over but what I really love about Macau is how its Portuguese culture and architecture blends well with the people. I fell in love with the park beside Igreja Da Se -- the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, that in times when I get stressed at work or I am down with all the negative emotions, I always go back to the particular moment, to that lovely scene where I just sat down past twelve midnight on one of the benches enjoying the cool early morning breeze and the magical sound of the water from a weathered fountain as it trickles down its stone basin. It was like a symphony to my ear and I said to myself, this is my place...this is my ground and center...this is my serenity.
