Dick and wally were sitting at the wayne family dinner table with their joint families announcing their engagement. Just before desert their was a knock on the front door. Alfred went to tend to it. Nobody thought anything of it till Alfred came back to dinning room with a large meta with him and two scruffed young kids hanging from his hands.

"I believe you have a guest master dick, master wally." Alfred said looking at the red head with a bit of judgment.

"You." The large meta with a goatee and flaming seemingly flaming hair. Motioned to wally with one of the kids who protested. "Well shit you are all here." He looked around the table. "Good I only need to do this once then hopefully. Quit fucking with the time stream." He ignored the throat clearing of the butler and the half raised from the seat posture of most of the dinners guests. "I'm tired of cleaning up all these timeline collapses you speedsters cause. So here is the deal." He sat the protesting kids down in to wally's lap. By phasing through the table. "I'm going to pull all your kids who would cease to exist from the now failed timelines and drop them all in your laps. And I don't care how many it ends up being. You want to cause me problems. You're getting all of yours 10 fold." As he backed out of the table. He pointed an accusing finger at the speedsters. "Do not try me! Oh and By the way. Congratulations on your engagement." He gave a rough pat to alfreds back. "Thanks old man." And then he vanished from sight.

The bats stared at the speedsters. "Care to explain that?"

"Who was that guy?"

"OH my god I'm a dad!" Wally said in shock looking down at his two kids. Ignoring Barry arguing with half the bat clan.

"What are your names?" Dick said all smiles at the two little kids sitting in wallys lap.

"Jai"

You just know this is getting round the JL as gossip asap. Like, the speedsters fucked around and got found out apparently? And the punishment is an excessive amount of kids.

Bart is gonna have so many cousins!!! He's just so happy! So many cousins to teach so many things!!!!!! Right up till he does an oops. And suddenly the Young Justice have a kid now. Just Bart holding his very own time stork baby at age 17. Like.... Guys! Help!

Bruce of course wants to track that being down. And ask SO many questions. Like, how? How did you do this? Who gave you the RIGHT? (Clockpa, obviously) what happens to all the other kids? Is he going to give the other heroes their lost kids too? If the speedsters Fuck up?

I love that three people gave a similar response to that lol!

I think this is a more general concern over the poor wee bairns that are being fucked over by their time lines being lost. Like, how many trillions have the speedsters accidentally killed? Ended? What's the right word here. It's much more general empathy. But still will be teased as if it's envy.

And Dan? Would absolutely just yoink all the batkids from lost time lines to drop on Bruce for being annoying. Like, if he has too many new kids to wrangle? Maybe he won't keep fucking bothering him?

Plus, the Flash family aren't billionaires. Feeding and housing so many speedsters could quickly rack up bills and chaos in plenty of ways

i hate that every time i look for color studies and tips to improve my art and make it more dynamic and interesting all that comes up are rudimentary explanations of the color wheel that explain it to me like im in 1st grade and just now discovering my primary colors

“red and green are opposites 🥰” cool now how do i paint a tree with pinks and blues without it looking like a child’s finger painting or incongruous blobs of rainbow vomit

ok i can’t explain it very well but im looking for tips and techniques for rendering art like

with specifically the highlights and colors being hues that compliment each other, don’t distract from the scene, and make it more interesting/visually appealing

This one's more for palette building but I think it's useful and can be applied to the other ones

Cohesion within compositions/lighting

"Chromatic fringe" - I also see people using this with shading, they bring in a transition color that is a different hue than the base color or shadow, it makes it so that less vibrancy is lost and it doesn't get muddy!

This one specifically has a lot of process behind the style of painting you're looking for!

Also one of my favorite artists who makes bright and colorful art like this is Not Sorry Art on TikTok & YouTube, her website is here and it's<3 my fav. She has some videos where you can see her process

With the oranges painting you put as an example, I noticed they painted the lighter values more toward yellow - they also exaggerated the hues of the undertones of the photo, so I'm guessing they either did it in their head or bumped the saturation up to get a closer look! I really love these paintings you shared and I definitely share your desire to paint/draw like that :)

I reworked an older drawing of mine recently and thought I might as well post it lol. It's also my new (and first) AO3 image, so if you've seen it, then that's why. Originally drew it nearly 3 years ago with a bunch of cup designs, but was happiest with just the stripes. Glad I finally figured out how to layer things better and fixed some wonky perspective stuff + made it clearer for use on ao3 with the black borders, cause there it's all skaled down to 100x100 instead of the 565x565 that I got here. If I fully redrew something like it today I would approach it differently, but that's a thought for another day. Here was my original version btw:
