I have been reflecting, lately.

Dorris, your beauty is simple, yet refined. I photograph your basic image, to capture your being, and your youth and innocence, before I am to possibly destroy you. Which I did, of course. I tried to make you something you were not, and it consumed your form. You were my failure of a creation, I was distraught that you were masacred, and by my own hands, at that. I tried to resurrect you, to once again, manipulate your features to adhere to my ideal image of what I wanted of you. Again, you were destroyed. But you will never really die, Doris, because I have captured your soul in this here photo, your empty, un-seasoned, blank, but simplistically, linear, soul. And it will be here on the internet forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever. Unless someone wants you tattooed on their skin. Then I guess you will be theirs. Or will they be yours?

not finished, but this line work was by far the most delicate and gentle and intricate line work ive ever put down on skin (scope the hair frilling out on the chin and top of ear.) Original piece made by commission request. Ill add the art for it later on, and the drafts that didn’t end up making it to the final piece. But yeah, I cant wait till this client lets me finish.
