whenever daughters and nieces grow into teenagers or young adults and older men in the family are obviously horny about them if not outright predatory, and older women get angry at the GIRLS
even if it's not outright calling them sluts or socially excluding them, even if it's just judging them and acting pissy with them rather than addressing their husbands / dads / uncles etc
it's like cool, so like… you think that behaviour is the victims' fault?
this philosophy is part of why gender essentialism is such an incredibly dangerous and violent ideology - the belief that cisgender men are bestial or animal-like and cannot be prevented from feeling or acting on the urge to rape or abuse young girls, rather than recognising they have agency
but even those who uphold that delusion and genuinely believe that cis men can't be prevented from wanting to rape young women / teenagers / children, that they can only be managed away from potential victims… then blame potential victims within their familial structure for being potential targets
like this is how traumatised women who believe in this shit end up getting radicalised and getting obsessive and violent about gender separatism - they need to believe that rapes and abuse occur bc women didn't manage their "problematic" men efficiently enough rather than bc the rapes were permitted
and part of the thing of bodyshaming and slutshaming people for behaviour or dress, like kids in revealing clothes or being naked after bathtime or whatever
you know that thing of like, it's not whether you can outrun a bear, it's whether you can outrun your friend so the bear gets them first?
they apply the same logic to "slutty" children - your children and teenagers must be appropriately outfitted, dressed, separated, supervised, trained into demureness, etc, and through this they will outrun the lower class children to be abused, the poor children, the ratty ones, the disposable ones
it's all about treating rape and sexual abuse as a sort of natural law and instinct that cisgender men inevitably will commit if given opportunities, rather than as a cruel and violent act committed by predators of any gender who seek out and are strategic about victims
and in the meantime like. girls and young women are traumatised twice over. in the first instance by grown men looking at and treating them lecherously, and in the second instance by others who then blame them for it, or even preemptively sexually abused by people to "protect" them from "real" abuse
