Photographers of Tumblr

So I have a quandary, when people submit photos to me, or when I go and look at their blogs to determine whether or not I should reblog their work I always look to see if they post in the tags either “photographers on tumblr” or “original photography on tumblr”. The reason for this is so I know that they are posting their own work and not reblogging or reposting it from somewhere else. It’s not a full proof system, but I find its the easiest way to identify photography blogs. Now, my problem is that not every photography blog doesn’t post tags that identify them as original photographers. I strongly encourage that people start doing this because it doesn’t just identify you as one of us, the whole point of tags is to help us get noticed when people are searching for pictures in general on tumblr. For all of you who recently joined tumblr, tags are important if you want your photos to get noticed! If your not sure what to put in your tags, that’s okay, look at other original photographers’ blogs and see what they put in their tags. Or, even ask one of us! We are an open community, and more than happy to give suggestions!
