can horses recognize that the horses on the merry go round aren’t real? or can they not even comprehend that those are resemblances of their own species? how close does a fake horse have to be to a real horse for a horse to recognize it as a horse
my goal is to be kindhearted, have soft hair, and always smell like flowers.
this isn’t bot spam it’s just the new mood for december
I wonder if you’re allowed to make friends in Hell. Or is it kind of like silent reading time, but with more fire.
More fire? What kind of silent reading did you have????
remember the day after zayn left when it seemed to be raining EVERYWHERE like that was so wild the earth was mourning too
How do I know I am a millennial? I require no explanation for anything entertaining. I show my folks a funny video of a cockatoo having an argument with a dude jumping on its empty cage, and they’re like, Where did you find this? Why is that happening? I don’t know. I don’t care. It was on the Internet. That’s the only context I can give you.
The Orchard by Lhi Collins
~~~~~ authors note; this is based off of the first poem I ever wrote about (and for) another person from about four years ago, called “The Apple Tree” ~~~~~
The Orchard- Lhi Collins
So the tree sat and she sat As all trees must do And every morning the meadow Was filled with dew
For a year and a half the boy Stayed with the tree through dark nights And thunderstorms And when the leaves the boy loved So much began to rot, the boy said, “Soon the weather, will be better”
He could often be found in the Early morning sun beneath his Tree, spilling his secrets under Her dark green canopy. He learned every solitude was Beautiful under his tree
One morning, the boy stopped coming. He found a love of rock & roll And driving cars so fast he Found new ways to leave broken Bridges in the past
The tree was trapped by her roots and Without her boy the tree got sick. That fall her apples rotted off, And her leaves turned Black before they fell
Over time, new boys came To visit the tree Though they tried, no one could Replace her boy
One boy stood under the tree For a whole winter and spring He whispered into the violets Blooming under her bare branches About how he loved a heart he could not hold And hoped the tree could not hear
The tree understood, the tree loved her boy after all
As a new summer began to grow, Her leaves grew with it. She was so Happy to see the leaves her boy once Had loved, she did not mind that They were late
The lake that ran alongside her Found itself late one night, as The moon found its stay almost over, With a boy washing his hands, his face
His words came out shaky And his face looked hollow The tree knew what he meant Before he said it. He missed his Tree. His tree felt flowers In her branches.
The boy did not visit his tree Everyday anymore, and she felt Him missing from her, but at Least less than before. She watched him go back and forth.
The boy lasts another fall And another winter. The tree Hopes he doesn’t run away When the sun comes to stay.
Please stay.
I fell in love with someone that wouldn’t be there to catch me
I wish you did (via twerkinvibes)
You need to stop thinking about things so much. You can’t keep rereading messages and looking at old pictures because nostalgia is a dirty liar that insists the past is better than it was and you’re only hurting yourself my dear.
If someone constantly finds a way back into your life, maybe they’re destined to be there.
The illusion only lasts for so long.
Telling yourself it doesn’t hurt no longer works. (via poetryleftbyher)
