Here’s a question that no one ever has a good answer for: why are cashiers forced to stand? Who decided people need to stand for 4 hours straight between breaks when they don’t MOVE?

There are a lot of grocery stores where you bag your own groceries. Anything like Food 4 Less (which is owned by Kroger/Ralphs) - you bag your own groceries. 

And the bringing your bags to the car is usually for older and disabled people. I only hear the cashiers verbally ask it when the customer looks like they need help. Cashiers in America aren’t carrying 25 year old bodybuilders bags to their car.

Some places have people that carry things to your car but they don’t technically work for the store. They work completely (or mostly) off tips so the store doesn’t have to pay them.
