A new photo released today shows Scarlett Johansson as Motoko Kusanagi in the upcoming adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, sparking Ming-Na Wen and many others to speak out online. According to “multiple independent sources,” Paramount and DreamWorks, attempted to use CGI and other visual effects to slightly alter Johansson’s face to appear Asian, ScreenCrush reported.  Paramount even admitted to most of this claim — but argued that one part of the report was not true.
