People say they don't like amo, it probably the most criticised BMTH album (at least that I've seen). But if I'm being honest it's probably the most played CD in my collection! I don't know if I'd say it's my favourite overall but it certainly has a few of my favourite songs on it. IDK I really like it.

AO3 leaves beta!!!

What a step! How far we've come. But we ao3 folks are a particular bunch and we like what we like, and if you're anything like me [autistic] (and the many people I have encountered after the reveal) you might be missing the beta. Good news is I have a fix for you!!! I have worked with skins that change the header before and its not too difficult so I have crafted a little something you can add to your skin to bring back the classic ao3 look of familiarity. Just paste into the Custom css box of your site skin and, voila! Here you have this classic header.

You know how I know I'm demisexual? I know because I didn't think Ilya and Shane were hot prior to when I started watching the show and formed a somewhat connection with them. Like I could see that they were "attractive" but I couldn't care less and was not interested, didn't see it on a personal level. But now after seeing the show, seeing them together, being part of that journey; they are so hot! It's actually really weird because I remember watching a clip of the couch scene when Heated Rivlary first came out (it would be like half a year till it released where I live) and being like what's the hype? But rest assured I am now educated, the emotional connection that we get to be a part of has me in a chokehold, I have a new appreciation. And I cannot wait to read the Heated Rivalry book after I finish Game Changer!

I know I said I would never write my fanfiction down in physical form again. But that was before the dystopian future became the dyatopian present.

I am seriously considering going back to paper and pen at least partly. Because that is the one thing nobody can take away from me! Humans have always told stories through marks scratched onto surfaces, we will survive these government attempts to rid us of our freedom of speech! I know it's hard to believe in a time then the we are effectively being barred from access to the Internet (age verification checkpoints don't just block underaged users, they block everyone who gives a shred of care about their online safety. The data breaches in the last few months and years have been significant, I do not trust some third party ai company with my sensitive information and neither should you.) It's hard and shitty right now but humanities innate drive to share and preserve information and stories will survive this, we did this long before the Internet and it will continue even as we lose access to our online communities! I hope my ramblings help you have hope for the future, because it has seemed bleak to me in recent times but we can't let it beat us down because that is exactly what they want. They want us to feel hopeless and out of control, but you will always have control of the narrative of the story you choose to tell!

TW discussion of pet death

My dog who I love more than anything. Who I talk incessantly about. Everyone at work knows all about him. And last night he took a turn. I was the one that found him scrabbling about on the floor, I knew something was wrong and he couldn't walk. I was up basically all night with him because he got unsettled and scared when we left. I sent a message to my boss telling him this and he sent me the most callous insensitive rude reply imaginable. For all I knew my dog was dying and he is old so if there is anything wrong with him then that is the kind end. He made me come in and work because they were 'short staffed' yeah they were sketchy short studded he could sit on his ass at a table all day on his phone. He hadn't even told his wife who runs the place with him and when I told her she sent me home. Now I don't like her either but at least she has some decency and empathy. What a fucking jerk, I am never picking up extra shifts from him again! Nothing mote than basic courtesy.
