An angst I haven’t seen but want to see for characters with religious or any relevant trauma is

“I don’t deserve relief” denying themselves painkillers or healing because that’s only for those who need it, and unless they’re screaming and crying in pain they don’t need it. I want a character suffering from a headache refusing medication because they can handle it, having a breakdown but still insisting it isn’t bad enough. Being raised with someone refusing them relief because if they were faithful this wouldn’t have happened, if they were stronger they wouldn’t need to heal. Sure the solution is right there but they haven’t earned it yet.

Pair this with someone who’s like, “dude just take some ibuprofen it’s fine,” trying to explain that they don’t have to suffer just because it isn’t bad enough. They don’t need to go around dealing with a headache when the meds are right here, they’re meant to heal these kinds of ailments. It’s okay, you don’t need to earn it.

I’m really bad at watching any sort of horror media so I break it up into chunks, rn I’m about 40 minutes into iron lung as of this post it’s not really scary yet just intense but that might also be because it’s coming from a deep sea enthusiast who watches documentaries labeled “the horrors deep beneath the surface that will eat you alive” for fun because it is fun

The journey for salt

I have been transported back in time to a horrible time. Times before salt was mass distributed among the people, times when salt was a luxury only few could have. A time where all food tastes horrible! For you see I am one you would call obsessed, I can’t eat if it isn’t saltier than the ocean. I don’t know why but I know it’s true and therefore I must journey for salt on my food. The family in the house I broke in to were kind but not understanding. I tried to explain to Jacob, my close friend of two hours that I simply can’t have my potatoes without salt, or my vegetables or meat for that matter. ‘No no no it’s all wrong without salt!’ I exclaimed, in a calm and polite manner, Jacob replied ‘why you’re a posh pebble aren’t you?’ And I didn’t understand what that meant but felt quite motivated; ‘I shall journey out to the seas and find my salt, for my fate may be sealed but my heart and soul hungers.’ I raised my hands and then took off running, Jacob asked me ‘you? Find salt? Are you mad? Do you expect to be a rich man, pebble?’ And I kept going while explaining ‘no no no, I do not journey for riches untold I journey for my own sake if I may be so bold.’ And so my path was set and I ventured forward, rain and wind and sun couldn’t slow me, the growing hunger in my guts only pushed me forward and the sea in my eye left me thirsting for the refresh of crystals. ‘Look forth Jacob! We’ve struck it!’ I took my last strength and barreled forth landing in the sweet salty seas embrace. Truth be told I didn’t know where to find salt, and Jacob was surely lost far from home by now. ‘Not a bad find, pebble, but how shall we bring it home?” He bathed his feet, too much of a coward to bathe whole. ‘We don’t.’ I replied. For the truth was clear, I had no where to go and nowhere to be. This salt is my final destination and I shall turn into the foam on its waves and never go elsewhere at all. Jacob will leave but I will stay, for the journey for salt is all I became.

Thinking up an AU where Rocky has a kid that snuck aboard the ship and survived and therefore he’s even more motivated to get home but more cautious around grace like I HAVE A KID AND THIS WEIRD ALIEN MIGHT HURT THEM STAY A GOOD 6 FEET FROM ME

hiding his kid at first but eventually introducing them and Grace is the sweetest ever because the kid is basically the same age as the kids he used to teach!!! He’s got a little student who follows him everywhere but in the cute kid way and not the annoying roommate way (I’m looking at you Rocky)

They’re gonna be based on moss agate like a mix of rocky and Adrian

Their eridian name means good luck! So their names gonna be clover, like good luck and green (Grace is the best at names trust)

Clover has a slightly feminine little kid voice and very bubbly cutesy mannerisms, small hops and loves dancing all the time plus singing and humming while Grace tries to sleep :3

Yk I think I would wanna create a story like project Hail Mary but all of the crew make it and have fun saving their world and Rocky gets three human friends who show him different sides of humanity and he cares equally for them all. I think it’d be neat and very fluffy. Might draw this

Watched project Hail Mary last night and was just laying here, on this bunk bed while everyone else was talking AND I WAS APPARENTLY GIGGLING TO MYSELF LIKE SO MUCH😭😭 this movie is so funny, devastating, hopeful and plain awesome it’s amazing perfect movie
