Celebrating nutrition achievements This might not seem like a big thing but…at the end of the day…its pretty important stuff.
You see…not long ago, it was common for children under the age of 5 to receive treatment for severe malnutrition in this Ethiopian community.
But now check this out…since UNICEF got involved…over the past three years, malnutrition rates have dropped from 20 per cent to 5 per cent, and severe malnutrition rates have dropped from 5 per cent to about 1 per cent.
Obviously more work needs to be done…but for now…I guess you can say we are impressed with the progress made….we hope you are too.
