Hey guys! It’s Bella! I had such a fun time hosting a script swap around New Years, so why not do it again! Out little community has grown so much, and with so much talent! There are so many talented people in the HP RP Community, but there are so many of us, that we don’t get to interact as much as we could. This would be a way to close out the summer with some great writing and acting! For those who don’t know, a script swap, is where you write a script for your partner that they get to perform! It is a great way to get to know each other, and work with people that you haven’t gotten to work with before. It’s a great way to spread the talent, and work with someone that you never thought you would get to work with!
If you want to participate, put your information in this google form. (It’s easier than messaging, and I won’t miss anyone) You will then be added to the list.
Partners will be assigned with a random generator. No one picks their partner! You have your partner that you will write for, but that doesn’t mean they will write for you.
Your script should not be longer than a page. We don’t need a twenty part thread.
You are only writing for your partner, meaning all the characters must be played by them. It can be any genre, angst, fluff, sad, happy, anything.
Have at least two characters, we don’t need any monologues, or unless your partner wants to be challenged with more characters.
Keep your script a surprise to your partner until it is done.
The scripts HAVE to be set in the Harry Potter Universe, but it can be from any era. (e.g Marauders, Fantastic Beasts, Founders, Lightning Era, etc.)
Use the tag #summer hp rp script swap on all final posts to keep everyone involved!
There will be a schedule of who is posting their threads on what days, just do we can make sure everyone sees the work you all have put into it!
Also, I will post a link to a google forms to where you can post the link to your thread so I can make a master post! I don’t want to miss anyone’s hard work!
You must sign up through google forms by Friday July 26th, 2019 by 7pm CST.
Pairings will be posted on Saturday July 27th, 2019.
Scripts will be due to your partner before or by Monday August 5th, 2019.
Threads will be starting to post by August 16th, 17th, and 18th.
Talk to your partner, get a feel of what they are up for.
Look at your partners rp and cosplay, get a feel for how they do their characters.
Communication is key! Keep in touch with your partner, and make sure that everyone is comfortable.
If you have questions, ask! (We don’t bite!)
Make it as intricate as you want, or as simple as you want. Do not be afraid to add effects, or make amazing costumes.
Keep is PG. We have some younger people in our audience, so keep it somewhat polite.
If you are going to do any type of gore or triggers, please talk to me. (I just want to make sure that everyone stays safe, and we cater to those who are uncomfortable with certain subjects.)
Don’t join this if you do not have much experience in the HP RP Community or writing scripts. It puts your partner you have to a disadvantage.
