Those are all bullshit excuses that need to fuck the hell off; there used to be female space marine models in Rogue Trader days. The only reason we don't still have them is because no one bought them. Obviously people want them now, so all those excuses are bullshit and are not real.

None of that is why i'm sick of female space marines.

How the fuck is it representation when all your models look the fucking same as everyone elses and use the same fucking rules!

Fucken hell; you're embarrassing yourselves dancing to GeeDub's corporate tune. y'know they'll hold off on female marines for a few more years and then release them once they know the market is right and their quarterly profits will see an increase, right?

And then what.

They'll add another ten kits to the pile, you'll have your so called representation and Eldar will still have 30 year old sculpts.

If you hold space marines up on such a pedestal that every other faction is not worth anything to representation then you are not someone I want to know. Go away and save me the trouble of blocking you.

You are what is wrong with the community and have been for decades. Take a step back. Stop perpetually circle jerking the corporate bullshit machine for one second and take a broader look at what needs to happen.

We don't need fucking female space marines.

We need more support for other factions that have had female representation since the 90's.

It's a spicy opinion but a good one, I'm not against female space marines but we got some dying races in 40k that need waaaay more love and attention then yet another loyalist space marine release

Chaos space marines only got 3 legion's (no world eaters don't count, they ain't got shit) so let's say you wanna play word bearers that looks like their just like the artwork yeah no fuck that can't do, or spend 100s converting an whole army :) goodluck

The state of xeno races is very sad too, but I stick to my word. Gw will make a fuck ton of money by range refreshing the races with old sculpts. Look at necrons as an example, how many people picked up necrons after 9th edition dropped? A lot!

Space marines sell so well bc gw keeps bringing out new and cool stuff consistently, but that would work the same with Eldar or necrons or chaos

Yeah; I got a bit carried away. Just got home from a long day at work and was in the mood to rant and rave.

But it does get annoying seeing peeps on this hellsite getting up on the soapbox ready to fight anyone who disagrees with female space marines because of lore or sexism.

Meanwhile, Sisters of Battle are standing there ignored, unloved and insignificant. Worth is defined by being a space marine only and if you're not, you're trash and not worth anything to representation.

Yet if they just didn't collect space marines and instead, invested interest in Sororitas or Eldar then maybe, their perspective might change, and suddenly, space marines won't seem like the be-all and end-all.

Heck, even GeeDubs is trying to broaden their representation but the fanbase can't forget about space marines for five seconds to care. It's as if, for them, you can't play the game without astartes.

It'd be a bit of a faff getting the bits, but you could build an all female Harlequins army that would absolutely destroy space marines on the tabletop; when every model has a melta weapon, power armour might as well be paper. How's that for girl power and representation?

It's not worth fuck all to these people though; cos Harlequins aren't space marines.

Chaos Marines are in an even worse position; they're treated like red-headed step children. They have been getting a raw deal since their 3.5 edition codex went out of currency.

They're as neglected as every other army yet the ironic thing is, Emperor's Children would be the perfect starting ground to have trans-marines. Dead set, it'd fit the lore and everything. Of course, that won't make people happy; it has to be loyalist marines or nothing. Everything is shit compared to loyalist marines.

It's a fucking joke.

Fucking-A right!  While I do have a Space Marine army (Space Wolves), my first and most loved army are my ‘Nids with my Genestealer Cult in a hard tie with my Space Puppies.  My brother mains Orks and he of all people has the right to bitch about 30 year old kits that have never been updated.  GW’s obsession with pushing the Astartes Agenda is one of the reasons I’ve fallen out of the hobby over the past few years.  We need updates for Xenos!  While the 8th edition additions to my Gene’ Cults was nice last I was aware my Baldy Bros and Sisters are still lacking in quite a few spots on the ol’ Force Organization Chart.  If Gee-Dubs wants to sell more kits then they should flesh out the gaps in some armies and update the rest.

Oh, and fuck Primaris Marines.  Don’t get me started on that shit......

Contrary to popular belief, this is currently the safest known period in human history.

We've effectively achieved world peace, in the sense that there are only a handful of active battlefields left in the entire world, and they're shockingly small.

For example, more American soldiers died on D-Day alone than have died in the entire Afghan war so far, and it's been almost 20 years now.

The war in Syria? Tiny. Verging on negligible. There were individual battles in WW2 that larger than this entire so-called "war".

What about war in Africa? Can you actual name a single conflict on that entire continent? South Sudan perhaps, or Darfur if you're paying attention? Not even close to Verdun, or the Second Battle of Smolensk.

None of the top 40 economic powers have waged open, large-scale warfare against any of the others since 1945. All wars since the end of WW2 have been relatively small, contained, and bloodless in historical context.

European colonial revolutions have ended, so the only remaining wars are a few civil wars between small poor countries who can't cause much damage.

Even fewer of those civil wars have foreign intervention, which has generally been quite restrained compared to historic examples.

On a similar note, global poverty has been steadily declining for decades, and severe life-threatening poverty has been nearly eradicated. Very few people are aware of this, and most actually believe the opposite!

While income inequality may be climbing, the economy is not a zero-sum game where somebody wins by making someone else lose. The number of people scraping by on less than $1.90 USD has plummeted.

The existence of billionaires does not change the cold hard fact that poor people today are much safer and more comfortable than poor people were 100 years ago.

If you're in the USA, like most English-speaking internet users are, then you'll be pleased to learn that the American violent crime rate is lower today than it has been for the past 50 years.

The most recent peak of violent crime was in the early to mid-1990s, and those crime were mostly assault and rape. The murder rate was never particularly high to begin with, and it's a shockingly localized crime.

For example, five neighborhoods in Chicago were responsible for almost of of Chicago's murders last year, and major cities are almost solely responsible for US homicides in general.
