THE FAULT IN OUR STARS book talk.
For my first book review, i want to start with my lastest read. A book that i've heard a lot about through out the years, which made me really excited to finally read it.
We're going to break this down into 2 categories : Spoiler free review ( for those who haven't read it) and a deeper analysis that contains spoilers ( we can discuss in the comments).
THE SPOILER FREE PART:
tfios is on of the most popular and beloved Young adult book of our time. Some people may even consider it as a modern classic. It's a book about life, death, love, family, and friendship. The main character is Hazel Grace, a 16 year old girl who has been battling with cancer for years. The story is from her POV, and what i liked is that she uses it to teach readers that people like her shouldn't be pitied. Also, there is Augustus waters, a 17 year old who suffered from the same thing.
I fairly enjoyed reading it. Though i think its kind of overhyped. There are many "sad reads" out there that i LOVE more than anything. But it was good.
Here is my rating :
Writing: 4.5/5
Characters: 4/5
Plot: 4/5
Romance: 3.5/5 ( kind of subjectif since i dont like romance that much but mhm).
Emotions: 5/5.
SPOILER ALERT BEWARE:
nooow for the good stuff.
Isaac is probably my favorite character in this book. Idk why, i just like him and find him relatable. (Cant relate to going blind but mhm).
I find it weird and illogical that as a 17 year old, Augustus has a looot to say about life and living and bla bla bla. I think the whole " i put cigarette between my lips but i don't give them the power to kill me" is really dumb. (Mon avis sue me).
His death was heart-breaking, AND I LOVE THE LETTER HE SENT TO VAN HOUTEN IN THE END.
Anywas that's all for now XD, i don't really have a lot to say about it except that ill watch the movie when i feel tooo happy.
