Sonic to the Rescue…
My first shot at creating a sort of tutorial/guide, telling how I do things. On this initial chapter we’re going over the handy matter of Hands. Not meaning to be an encyclopedic explanation, only showing my own methods and self-taught clues. Hoping somebody finds it useful! :3 I’ll do more if this one is received well. So let me know~
My thanks also to the supporters in my Patreon campaign, who helped me decide which themes to focus on for a start. And are actually allowing this to happen. :D Cheers!
Another amazing hand tutorial! Go reblog and follow the creator, @mugis-pie

TRUE ME AND WE WILL ESCAPE FROM THE CITY!!
My updated Great Gatsby story moment paintings all together. A party scene at Gatsby’s mansion, the trip to town across the Brooklyn Bridge, and the reunion at Nick’s cottage.
I’m sorry but it’s really annoying to see this keep happening on my dash. For those who don’t know,Pixiv is considering shutting down access to western users.
Why?
Because of edits and reposts onto social media sights, such as Tumblr, Facebook, even Twitter. The problem has been here for the past months and I really just get sad seeing everyone reblog edits and reposts of art that’sUNSOURCED.
I’m sorry if I seem bitchy, but this is a critical issue, because not only would this cut off fandom posters, it cuts off any person in the US from accessing Pixiv.
Pixiv artists are already deleting their works and accounts, more and more artists are deleting everything because of this. I have alreadymade a post about this on my main, and so havetwo ofmy friends. You may say we’re throwing a big deal about this, but the thing is- we’re just trying to make sure that us fans and future fans have the art resources.
Things to know:
ZEROCHAN AND WEHEARTIT ARE NOT SOURCES.
I REPEAT. ZEROCHAN AND WEHEARTIT ARE NOT SOURCES.
If you really absolutely don’t know, try the Google Images source thing.
Or better yet-saucenao is a better one, as if it’s a pixiv work, it shows you the original pixiv link, if it’s deleted or not, and the artist.
If you don’t know the source, DO THOSE STEPS ABOVE, and if they don’t work, state you don’t know it and ask around.
Oh, and biggest thing for the Vocaloid fandom mainly, along with other fandoms:
this is a list of pixiv artists who do not want their art reposted or edited at all.
If you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO REPOST THEIR WORK, ASK THEM FIRST! It won’t hurt you to be polite, and even if they don’t understand english they probably will understand what you’re saying.
I find this very relevant to this blog so I hope you’ll allow me to give another PSA.
(Thank you endless-chocolate for sending me this link)
I see this happen on my dash sometimes and I’m not gonna lie, I did consider unfollowing the people that reblog unsourced fanarts. Especially more so on those so-called one piece confessions/dirty op confessions whatever. It’s getting ridiculous.
However, it’s my belief that every one of you are wonderful people who respects others, especially those who have worked hard in drawing and writing all the wonderful doujins and fanarts. So I hope I can raise some more awareness to this.
As usual I’m going to illustrate it in an easy way. (read right to left)
What supposed to happen:
What you’re doing when you don’t source:
What you’re making the artist do:
Every artist grow by displaying their work and getting critique. But when their work is spread around without any credit to the artist, AND EVEN MAKES THE OWN ARTIST DELETE IT FROM HIS/HER SITE it lost the purpose and meaning.
What you should do from now on (if you haven’t been doing so):
Here’s a guide on how to use saucenao. If it’s from pixiv, saucenao will most likely find it. If it doesn’t, use google image search.
If an artist spend their time to draw that fanart, I think we can spend a bit of time finding out the proper source/credit.
This has been another PSA from Dark Honey.
cant stress enough about this topic, please source everyone
【 Such a tragedy we have avoided.. 】: Let me just pause ooc for a moment.
I am proud to be raising awareness of this serious issue!
Please spread this around so less and less of a problem will continue!

Thanks to the anon who brought this old news to my attention, I dug out this video about Isayama’s parents (and kid Isayama!) on Youtube. Original TV program was aired on August 19th, 2015. Below is a translation of their interview.
Their opinions on Isayama as the author of Shingeki no Kyojin:
Father (Isayama Mitsuo): It’s not something I’ve imagined before. If speaking in our local dialect, we often say “so things like that can happen.” (T/N: It’s hard to precisely translate the sentence since he was speaking in a peripheral Hita dialect. It’s a sentence to express one’s surprise but also approval to something at the same time.) Narrator: Isayama has enjoyed drawing since his childhood, during which time he often drew monsters. Mother (Isayama Emi): We asked him what he wanted to do after he grew up, he said “(I want to become) a security guard at a dinosaur museum.”
Isayama told his parents that he would like to become a mangaka only after he entered a manga professional school. His parents’ comments on it:
F: I thought the probability of success (for a mangaka) can be very low… And I also had a feeling that it would be good for him to just take a normal job. M: First of all, try it thoroughly with all your efforts. If you keep failing at it, then move on to the next thing. After all, it’s not something we as parents can decide for him.
Despite his father’s concern, Isayama created the work Shingeki no Kyojin, which has become a huge hit. How are his parents thinking about the popular work “Shingeki no Kyojin”?
F: At first I considered it “grotesque”. I made a little suggestion to him: ”Ain’t there some options such as baseball manga or soccer manga?” M: I think it’s a quite interesting work. He has such imagination and ideas — now I start to admire his talent again.
Talking about their son’s future:
M: I think it would be good if he can keep doing what he likes while paying attention to his health. F: If he can do some publicity service for various places in Oita prefecture or Hita city and Ooyama town, I think he himself will be happy about it as well.
