drunk rewatched the amc vampire show with a friend and tbh the reason it fails both as an adaptation and also as it’s own distinct work is because of the contempt the showrunner + writers have for the genre. they also just don’t respect anne rice and seem to take some kind of sadistic glee at undermining her lore and world building.
