I highly recommend. It has its hard hitting moments but so does every book worth reading, in my opinion. Josephine was my favorite character and I loved the way she connected to Ava in the present. The lush descriptions of everything was also beautiful. There is so much more to this book and I just finished so haven’t tethered all of my thoughts but it’s beautiful and impactful and all women should read it. This is book 3/24 (or more!) for 2021. ✨ I’m so excited to share Aquarius prompts tonight and I don’t even know why. I guess I’m just ready to continue. But there’s nothing wrong with some excitement! Disclaimer: I’m not an astrologer. I’m a writer who’s always loved astrology, starting with reading horoscopes in middle school. Of course, now I’m aware of sidereal and feel it might resonate even more — so in that sense — the timelines are different. I’m going with tropical timelines just for ease but I want you to know: that even though I’m utilizing the zodiac for brainstorming seasons of our years, these prompts are relevant anytime! And journaling is relevant anytime! And it doesn’t matter if it’s your sun sign — you can (and should) do each season’s prompts! Affirm it, soulbabes!! This lesson came up last night and people have been asking for it, so here’s a shareable. Often times in the beginning of our healing and shadow work we are inundated with painful and harsh experiences. Life happens and it happens regardless but I know that when I affirmed this my life shifted for the better. Yes, people left. Jobs left. Relationships shifted and sometimes that is still painful to work through/process/remember, but you deserve joy and pleasure. Always remember that. And affirming this doesn’t mean life is all roses, but it certainly doesn’t have to be constant suffering. This paragraph was it. This book was so much more relatable than I expected/anticipated, and the themes of loneliness and betrayal are permeating in the heart and mind. 🌿 your healing is on no one else’s timeline • that’s it. that’s the tweet. i had a super triggering moment this morning that sent me into a highly unexpected tailspin. i’ll be transparent: i blocked, muted, and kept going but i couldn’t help but be affected by it. it was completely unexpected. grateful for the sister who reached out to me with love and held space for me to quickly process and do my best to let it go—because it’s my loves birthday today! trauma doesn’t care about timing! but after swallowing it up all morning i expressed to him why i was acting how i was and once i let it out i immediately felt better and continued on. be gentle. take care. in those troubling and triggering moments, love yourself even harder—and i hope you have someone(s) to lean on in those times. sending love. ✨🌺 #soulbits https://www.instagram.com/p/CKIJDmjFvPY/?igshid=1gsruf3m3zxkh
