You hadn’t planned on going this deep. Probably your first mistake. Admittedly, one of many. How many times had you been warned not to go past level 80 without the proper equipment? A screeching sound comes at you from above, and you manage to shield your face before a bat swoops down. Its claws dig into your skin, ripping at your forearm. You turn down a corridor, using the damp wall to guide you. Is this the way to the elevator? Your breath comes in ragged, heaving gasps. Something big is behind you. The sound of its heavy footsteps gets closer, but your utter exhaustion is winning and your legs will give out any second. You risk a glance behind you and see a large, dark figure dart around the corner.
