Hi!! I'm Alex. 'Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memoroes' (2004) and especially its PlayStation 4 remake are my Number 1 most Favourite K.H. videogame too! What 1st comes to your mind when asked what you love 'bout them? For me, there's NaminΓ© (whose initial mystery then character growth arc always make me smile), the Trinity Trio (Sora, Donald, & Goofy interact with each other and Jiminy in K.H.:Chain of Memories more than anywhere else plus their character developments in it are interesting), Riku (he went from an okay character in K.H.1 to 1 of my Faves in K.H.:Chain of Memories due to his character growth and the adorable start of his platonic friendship with Mickey), the Riku Replica (poor kid definitely needed therapy and was a well-written tragic antagonist), the members of Organization XIII (especially Zexion, Vexen, Larxene, Marluxia, and Axel; those 5 villains never fail to both amuse me & terrify me), and the gameplay (I love that I can plan my digital card deck ahead of time then just spam triangle to cast magic or do a melee combo). What first comes to mind for me when asked about what I love the most about KH: COM is definitely NaminΓ© the most, the unique card battles, and how the game introduced and set us up for KH2 with Organization XIII! There is so much more I can mention but those are my top 3 favourite things about COM!
NaminΓ© I truly adore and love so much, as she is such a unique character with her powers to rearrange one's memories?! That's so powerful but such a deadly double-edged power to have...! Along with that, just the simple fact that she draws and has a little sketchbook makes me smile since I love to draw, too! And of course, her theme is simply beautiful and relaxing. It really does help me sleep and help me feel at ease.
The deck building itself and battle system was so unique, I loved building them, too! The Ultima Keyblade card is such an OP fav card! And I loved summoning Cloud from Final Fantasy VII especially (the Final Fantasy series is one of my top favourite video game series of all time)!
I really think KH: COM is one of the best games in the KH series, and I hope people will take time to learn about it or play it of course! More NaminΓ© appreciation, please, lol!
