Being a wandmaker can be rewarding
I’ve just had someone come in and give me tickets for the World Cup. I guess that is what you get when you help a mother get a children a wand. I just have to make sure I have my head screwed on and do not lose them.
"I usually just get rewarded by cleaning up vomit but hey, The Knight Bus isn't for everyone. Grats on the tickets, mate, gonna be a good game I think."
She laughs and shakes her head. “Party foul!” She grins and pulls him into a hug. “I’m glad you could make it, Sammy.”
"Yeah, come on. You think I'd miss it?" He asks, pulling out of the hug not realizing just how many things he missed out on.
I just don’t want to repeat the same thing over and over again, so I’m always looking for something that’s going to be challenging and make me nervous every time I start a project.
"And my birthday has finally arrived! Drink up bitches!"
"Cheers, Mack," he says toasting her so hard his drink spills over their hand. "Oops."
"Need ‘Sammy’s Ultimate Hangover Remedy Extraordinaire’?"
"Is there more alcohol in that?"
"A chef never releases his recipe or secret ingredients, D."
“‘Sammy’s Ultimate Hangover Remedy Extraordinaire’, made it myself.”
"Shit. I’d ask if it works, but you made it so I know it does." She gesture for him to hand her the vial. "Fork it over, little bro."
"Only the best for one of my favorite siblings, Mack." He uncorks the vial and some effervescence leeches out as he hands the vial over to her. "'S busy night tonight, what holiday is it again?"
"Nah, you don’t need a Pepper Up. What you need," he said mysteriously, pulling a deep navy light occluding vial from his bag. "Is this."
Her eyes narrow a bit. “What’s in the vial?”
"'Sammy's Ultimate Hangover Remedy Extraordinaire', made it myself."
"I’m not taking no for an answer Mack. We’re Armstrongs, we go hard and live harder now drink the fuck up," he says cackling, already pouring her amber liquid into a tumbler.
"You do realize I’ve been drinking since last night, and you’re going to wind me up in St. Mungos right?" She laughs weakly, finding it impossible to deny her little brother. "At least toss me a pepper up potion first or something."
"Nah, you don't need a Pepper Up. What you need," he said mysteriously, pulling a deep navy light occluding vial from his bag. "Is this."
"Brilliant! What’ll it be because there’s green whiskey, green ale, green mead, green gin, green everything. Pick your poison and I’ll have the same."
"Then an Irish Kiss. Baileys and Ameretto over ice."
"And an Irish Kiss for me too." With that Sam placed their small order and with quick efficiency the bartender passed him the drinks in no time. "Cheers!" He told her happily when he reached her, and held up his drink to toast to her. "I'm Sam by the way, nice to meet ya."
"Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Next round’s on me."
"No. No more rounds. Fuck I think I’m still drunk.” She lets out a small groan.

Thank Merlin I finally have a day off today. I think I’m going to try to spend it by staying conscious for once.
"Couldn't be bothered by it."
"And here I was starting to think that the Leaky didn’t do anything fun anymore."
"The Leaky's always fun, mate."
"Can you talk a little quieter or something? Cheers."
