-leans in and whispers- You know, Samwise, I really think it would be a good idea if you asked Lady Rose on a date. I mean, you're an Aries, she's Sagittarius, you two are MEANT to be. It's in the stars.
(jumps, startled) I— Mr Thranduil, wh— whatever are you talking about???? Stars???????
There are some who believe that if you’re born under a certain set of stars then you have certain traits. You were born Aries, something that Sagittarius is highly compatible with. Here. -tosses him an astrology book- Now, when are you two going out?
-catches the book & staggers under its weight- Oof-- ah-- I'd not heard of that before.....
-blushes & stammers incoherently & maybe something about needing to check on the tulips-
(OOC: Holy crap, you are literally a Hobbit)
hehe (: i’m tall, though, like 5’7” or 8” or something like that

It never ceases to amaze me: the courage of Hobbits.

O slender as a willow wand! O clearer than clear water! O reed by the living pool! Fair river-daughter! O spring-time and summer-time, and spring again after! O wind on the waterfall, and the leaves’ laughter!

Today commemorates the anniversary of the One Ring’s destruction - or, as I too often remind myself, the anniversary of my failure to do what I set out to do. I spend quite a lot of time thinking about what would have happened if Gollum had not been there, and every day I am glad that he was there. Losing a finger is nothing when it comes to saving the good people of Middle-earth, and after all, I did succumb, so maybe I deserved to lose it.
And, of course, I cannot thank Sam enough. His company and his relentless hope, which he kept long after I lost mine, helped me more deeply than I can ever articulate.
And I know that I did not suffer in vain. Someone had to volunteer in order for Middle-earth to be saved, and I did the best I could.
Now Mr Frodo, don’t be like that…….. Come on now, how about a mug of tea and some supper? It’s getting cold and dark, and your spirits want liftin.
I’ll just take some tea, thank you. I don’t have that much appetite today.
This is supposed to be a joyous day, isn’t it? And yet this day never brings me joy.
Of course, Sir.
I suppose there are others who'd find more joy in it.... It-- it honestly doesn't come as a surprise, Mr Frodo, that you shouldn't be happy on a day like to-day.
Today in Middle-Earth: Directed by Gandalf, the Eagles of the north rescue Frodo and Sam where they lie unconscious near the foot of blazing Mount Doom. (March 25th, 3019 T.A.)
‘Well, this is the end, Sam Gamgee,’ said a voice by his side. And there was Frodo, pale and worn, and yet himself again; and in his eyes there was peace now, neither strain of will, nor madness, nor any fear. His burden was taken away. There was the dear master of the sweet days in the Shire.
‘Master!’ cried Sam, and fell upon his knees. In all that ruin of the world for the moment he felt only joy, great joy. The burden was gone. His master had been saved; he was himself again, he was free. And then Sam caught sight of the maimed and bleeding hand.
‘Your poor hand!’ he said. ‘And I have nothing to bind it with, or comfort it. I would have spared him a whole hand of mine rather. But he’s gone now beyond recall, gone for ever.’
‘Yes,’ said Frodo. ‘But do you remember Gandalf’s words: Even Gollum may have something yet to do? But for him, Sam, I could not have destroyed the Ring. The Quest would have been in vain, even at the bitter end. So let us forgive him! For the Quest is achieved, and now all is over. I am glad you are here with me. Here at the end of all things, Sam.’

-to Frodo- Oh my valar, he’s totally got a thing for her. Are Hobbits always this… nervous about love?
-attempting somewhat unsuccessfully to suppress laughter- No no. Sam’s shyness is very uncommon.
-drops the toast into a watering can & stares at it sizzling-

Good Eru, Sam. You’re smitten!

So when’s the wedding?
If you don’t tell her, Sam, I will. I’m not confident of many things, but I’m certain that she loves you.
