The Aussies have a thing or two to learn it would seem.
I’ve never seen an Ostrich look SO offended in my life.
Let’s hear it for unorthodox animal handling skills!
The ostrich is either so offended that it just can’t stand it, or it’s so confused that this other ostrich thing has gone and shapeshifted on it.
this video has corroded my brain
[House music playing in the background]
Person, their face imposed on 3d models carrying a coffin, speaking in an emphasized German accent: Zis is my brother, Ffff- Franklin. Zis is my brother...Jackson. Zis is my brother, uh, Günther. Zis is my brother, uh, Kingston. [Camera cuts to the 3d models dancing while carrying a coffin]

Ok not only was that pretty rad, but the punchline at the end was killer too XD
OK. we need to have a talk. guys. you have GOT to warn people about media that has flashing lights/colors/anything else that could cause a seizure. you can't be telling people to get into something and just "forget" about the literal health hazard that could send someone to a hospital, or worse, kill them. by telling your friends, mutuals, whatever - to get into something, it is your responsibility to say "hey, be warned there's flashing/its not epilepsy safe". last night i tried getting into the game genshin impact, but i couldn't even finish installing it before my girlfriend (who also was going to play it), told me that after you boot up the game it has a seizure warning. and NO ONE on tumblr talked about it, i was not warned whatsoever - the same thing happened with neon genesis evangelion, except i didnt get warned until id already watched (an episode of) it and had a seizure. WARN PEOPLE. even if you don't think anyone you know has epilepsy, you should still mention the flashes, as they can also cause migraines and overstimulations. do better.
obsessed with these comments
Literally all these comments... He’s just European lmfao
everyone in Munich acts like this
This dude is called "Jeremy Williams", (real name Daniel Schütz), he's German and he's infamous in Germany for being weird and supposedly on drugs. A few months ago he went on a drug-induced rant on his German YouTube channel where he said that he only eats 1kg of skyr joghurt, cheese and lemons and other foods he hated because eating foods you like make you fat. Just google “Jeremy Fragrance Skyr” or something and you’ll maybe find a reupload because he has since deleted all of his weird videos.
He also does videos of him doing naked push-ups in the street and he wears a weird “clip” on his suits in his more recent videos which supposedly help him in filtering radioactive and magnetic energy waves. Germans think he is a massive coke fiend and they don’t take him seriously AT ALL, but I enjoy watching his videos because he's so weird.
Check this out, for example:
“I also jack off, but I [laughs], but I... I do it for strategic reasons. And I... I don’t cum. So, um, it’s definitely part of my daily life.”
This is what Rasputin would've wanted.
I feel like I'm being seduced like one of those fancy rainforest birds
is it working
Yes
I can’t tell if this is gender envy or vibe envy but I envy this man
who here was on tumblr 4+ years ago
jesus christ, be polite to children and show them manners. fucking say excuse me when you walk past them, apologize to them when you cut them off, thank them when they’re courteous to you. they’re not little objects that don’t matter. you should be a fucking example and teach them how to treat people, instead of acting like they’re these invisible THINGS that don’t have feelings or don’t notice when they aren’t acknowledged. be polite to children the same way you’d be polite to someone of your own age group or older. you can respect a child.

You know what? This actually isn’t funny at all because this really does happen. Baby boomers can’t afford to retire; that’s a big part of why millennials can’t find jobs in their fields. And if they lose their jobs (which can mean a variety of things, including their companies finding an excuse to fire them so they don’t have to pay anything for their retirement, which happened to my uncle and 5 people he worked with over one year), they aren’t as desirable because they’re retirement-age. The world has changed a lot since they got jobs they thought were supposed to be secure, and now their old strategies that used to work for finding a job don’t work anymore and they don’t know what does work. So a lot are desperate; I recently talked to a woman who had to be in at least her mid-60s who was begging on a street corner because she was replaced by a younger person and lost her job of 18 years, and it’s not the first time I’ve heard a story like that. A lot of people who were never rich to begin with lost a lot in the 2008 financial crisis and never fully recovered. Baby boomers didn’t all just magically become financially secure as they got older.
This generation war bullshit is 100% manufactured to keep our anger misdirected. It’s not baby boomers screwing over millennials. It’s rich capitalists of every living generation screwing over baby boomers, their parents, gen x-ers, millennials, and gen z-ers all at once and all in different ways. And if we collectively realize that we’re not enemies and that we actually have a common cause with common enemies, it’ll be really bad for the people doing this to us, which is why they’re pushing the generation war thing so hard.
people seem to have trouble understanding why i’m an anti-capitalist, so i’m going to try and put it into simple, real-life terms.
i work at a restaurant. i make $12 an hour, plus tips. minimum wage where i live is relatively high for my country - the national minimum wage is $7.25/hr, and has not been raised since 2009. before taxes, working full time, my yearly income is about $22,000 a year. ($25,000 if you count tips)
at my job, we sell various dishes, with an average price of about $10-$15. we get printouts every week detailing how much money we made that week; in one week, our restaurant makes about $30,000. (one of our other locations actually makes this much on a daily basis!)
i’m not going to go into details, but after the costs of production (payroll for employees, rent for the building, maintenance, and wholesale food purchasing) are accounted for, the restaurant makes an estimated profit of $20,000 per week.
this profit goes directly to the owner, who does not work at this location. the owner of my restaurant has actually been on vacation for a few months, but still profits from the restaurant, because they own it. i have met the owner exactly twice in my year of working here.
to put this into perspective, the owner of this restaurant earns in 2 days what they pay me in one year. and that’s just from this single location - the owner has several other restaurants, all of which make more money than the one i work at. this ends up resulting in the owner having an estimated net worth of tens of millions of dollars, even after accounting for the payroll for every single worker in their employ.
now, i have to ask you: does the owner of my restaurant deserve this income? did they earn it? did their labor result in this value being created?
the naive answer would be “yes”; the owner purchased the location and arranged for the raw ingredients to be delivered, did they not?
the actual answer is “no”. the owner may have used their initial capital to start the location, but the profit is a result of my labor, and the labor of my co-workers.
the owner purchases rice at a very low bulk price of about 25 cents a pound. i cook the rice, and within a few minutes, that pound of rice is suddenly worth about $30. the owner did not create this value, i did. the owner simply provided the initial capital investment required to start the process.
what needs to be understood here is that capitalists do not create value. they use the labor of their employees to create value, and then take the excess profit and keep it.
what needs to be understood is that capitalists accrue income by already HAVING money. the owner of my restaurant was only able to get this far because they started off, from the very beginning, with enough money to purchase a building, purchase food in bulk, and hire hundreds of employees.
that is to say: the rich get richer, and they do so by exploiting the labor of the poor.
the owner of my restaurant could afford to triple the income of every single person in their employee if they felt like it, but this would mean that they were generating less profit for themselves, so they do not.
the owner of my restaurant pays me the current minimum wage of my area, because to them, i am not a person. i am an investment. i am an asset. i am a means to create more money.
when you are paid minimum wage, the message your boss is sending you is this: “legally, if i could pay you less, i would.”
every capitalist on the planet exploits their workers for their own gain. every capitalist, even the small business owners, forces people to stay in poverty so that the capitalist can profit.
This is a really good post
