Hi! I made this blog to document down Sanders Sides (on the occasion more general fanders related) heritage posts. Please send links to posts as an ask, submission, or tag me in the post! I’ll need help finding older stuff especially.

Though I’m fully willing to break my own rule lol. This blog’s for fun. Note that while this rule is true, I’ll personally be aiming to find posts dated 2020 and previous (especially any from 2016).
I’ll also organize posts based on dates (ex. 2017, 2020), type of post (ex. memes, fanart, analysis, theory, ect.), total note count (<1k, 1k, 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k, >20k) and any keywords if need be (ex. centaur post)

(The Thomas photo on though, sadly Vograce didn’t print the correct version they Sophia did a better job fixing so I’ll get that corrected next time!)

Sophia also helped me recreate the old button designs they had on the shop long ago that always fascinated me as why is Patton orange and pink lol, these are the 2.0 version as the previous ones I got made the logos were cut off so- but I think they look great!
Ok, I have to point out this one scene in ‘Can Lying Be Good?’ because after watching it again - and now knowing that Patton is really Deceit - it has me absolutely d y i n g because you can see Deceit’s genuine reaction to Thomas losing it when he suggests Joan being murdered.

OKAY i think i'm done looking for posts for now. Finding any more is prolly gonna take some much more elaborate and extensive methods than my current one, and i've found plenty already.
I'm archiving all of Joan's old sasi-related tumblr posts! Or at least all the ones i can find. Reblogs will be tagged with #thejoanglebook archive, as well as the year the post is from, for easy searching.

I haven’t actually seen anyone talk about this? What’s with that weird cut? I can’t figure out if it’s intentional or not. It kinda looks like a video game glitch.

Hahah! It was our take on, like, a Lego Movie jump “yay”, since Patton is basically Robin from Lego Batman lol It’s a little out there, but so is basically this whole series so we figured, why not?
Right, similar to what you’d see on a squid’s long feeding tentacles.
But….. a squid’s two long feeding tentacles don’t have suction cups that span the entire length of the tentacles, and the tentacles featured on Remus’s logo do have suction cups along the entire length of the two tentacles… so… is it it a squid??
Idk if this has already been asked, but was there a reason Remus revealed his name in the first episode he was in? Like, did he just not care, or did he not want Roman's name known but his unknown? Maybe I'm overthinking this.
Remus is raw, unfiltered thought. He will perform, display, or shout anything and everything he feels like presenting to Thomas whether it's crude jokes, repressed truths, or disturbing random thoughts. Remus isn't the type to intentionally keep secrets. If Remus was less chaotic he would happily tell Thomas everything about himself (though it might be kind of tricky because Remus doesn't really discriminate between fact and fiction). The subject of what to call him came up, so he introduced himself. It also worked as a jab at Virgil, who took a long time to reveal his own name to Thomas for... reasons. So Remus was kind of suggesting that Virgil isn't better than Deceit, and certainly not better than Remus because Virgil isn't the most trustworthy side.
Joan, do you find pleasure in destroying the entire fandom with one word, one phrase, one quick little sentence? Do you enjoy having us all the edge of our seats making theories upon theories? Because personally, I love that you can do that to us.
I’ll be honest with you… few things give me more pleasure than making you guys freak out.
Just wondering, but do you and/or the team ever read any of the fanfiction?
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally don’t (for the time being), because I don’t want my writing to be influenced by anyone else’s ideas about our series. I’m sure there’s lots of great fan fiction, and that’s exactly my problem. I don’t want to see anything and think “wow, that’s brilliant, and now we can’t use it.”
I love that people are writing fanfiction though, because I think it’s a wonderful thing when art begets more art. If/when the day comes that we stop making Sanders Sides, I feel like I’m going to binge read a lot of fan fiction.
