Okay and what if I'm queering Miquella as a tboy and that his abandonment of St. Trina (the direct feminine counterpart of himself/an avatar of his feminine side) with intent to become a god (a higher version of himself that he strives towards) still makes sense, even when this is framed as a mistake ("don't let the poor thing become a god") because every single trans man/masc I know (including myself) has felt, for a stretch of time during transition, that they needed to let go of/abandon any semblance of their feminine traits to be taken seriously.

Most popular scenarios depict Mohg as rather clueless regarding Miquella's personal history (i.e. The Vow) which is a shame because I think there's plenty of dramatic meat on the bone if Mohg knew that Miquella was previously engaged to Radahn.

This goes well with the belief I've stuck to that Mohg did the kidnapping *after* he was charmed. Miquella's charm is essentially a band-aid over people's problems; a child's naive belief that if everyone just loves each other they'll all get along. Having a character who was charmed and still did all that exemplifies how Miquella's plans have a shallow understanding of how other people think and feel. The line "Miquella is mine and mine alone" becomes much more meaningful if Mohg knew he had a rival suitor to be jealous of.
