A feminine and whimsical one-bedroom apartment with a private rooftop terrace in a century-old building two blocks away from Plaza Dorrego. San Telmo is the most bohemian neighborhood of Buenos Aires. We are a boutique vacation rental agency with a small collection of hand-picked apartments in San Telmo. http://santelmoloft.com

Definitely Go to Montevideo
Definitely Go to Montevideo
I was blown away by Montevideo this past November. I’d been through the city a number of times on my way to the beaches further north, but I’d never actually spent any time there. Big mistake.
What a charming city, especially if you have spent time in hectic Buenos Aires. It’s calmer, more laid back, and they take advantage of the river! One of my biggest disappointments with Buenos Aires is that…

In Love with Lima Part 1: The Restaurant Bible – Pick Up The Fork
From our favorite food blogger ever, I’m reposting her long and fabulous list of great restaurants in Lima, Peru. Why? Because Allie is our favorite food blogger and because Lima!!! We are dying to go there (and eat there).
Our esteem for the blog Pick Up The Fork began roughly five years ago when we were looking for good pizza in Buenos Aires, Allie introduced us to Siamo nel Forno. It’s…

"Wise as you will have become, so full of experience, you'll have understood by then what these Ithacas mean." Listen to Sean Connery recite Cavafy's poem, Ithaca. Take in your surroundings and think about the journey you are on. I'm on a short journey back to Buenos Aires, the city I have spent the most time in as an adult. Walking the streets, things feel new and familiar. I can fall back into the groove in no time, at all. Cavafy's poem is wonderful way to begin a new week. It's Sunday morning. I slept late. Sitting here in Barracas with a strong coffee, a ripe avocado and a copy of today's Clarin. There were 800,000 people in attendance at La Noche de los Museos in Buenos Aires last night. We got home at 3am.
