Oh look, that's me 💙
I loved watching today's vampires vs. community event. Of course my personal highlight was when Legundo and ZombieCleo found the tomb with my name. 💎👁️
The named tombs were a reward for donating during the VSMP for LoveTropics event.
YouTube rubbing it in
Are you really asking me if it was fun watching Pearl die over and over again? Fun??? Of all things?? Come on, youtube! It was devastating!
The skull of the Copper King 👑 💀
From Lizzie's last Misadventures video at around 8:50. She added a crypt of the oracle near the entrance of the crypt dungeon, that shows one of eight heads/artifacts to give you a hint, where to find the lever to the exit.
Can't wait for Pixlriffs' reaction to seeing this on the server. :D
Pixlriffs is not the best xD
According to himself in his Misadventures stream today at around 1:27. Right after barely surviving the crypt and finally finding some sweet berries to eat on the way home.
Reading chat: "Literally died to a berry bush yesterday. It was embarrassing."
"Happens to the best of us. And that's why it's never happened to me because I am not the best."
In Pearl's stream today from the Misadventures server we got some Copper King crumbs and some goofy Pix. xD
Timestamp is around 1:36 to 1:42.
It's time for the youtube and twitch recaps and the confirmation, yes, I do watch a lot of Pixlriffs. XD
(Translation of the german texts is below the images.)
My favourite gaming content creators on youtube this year have been Pixlriffs, GeminiTay, PearlescentMoon, the Hermitcraft Recap and Mumbo Jumbo. I was among the top 0,5 % of Pixlriffs' biggest fans and watched 26 times as much as his average viewers.
On twitch my most watched channel was also Pixlriffs with 420 hours watched. (That is 17,5 days.) I sent 208 chat messages, earned 88,810 channel points and spent 1,610 channel points.
This time Pix is the youngest
Just had a little thought, while watching the Imp&Skizz Podcast with Pix and Joel from the Spawnchunks Podcast.
Pixlriffs sometimes mentions in his streams that he feels kinda old in comparison to other Minecraft streamers or youtubers like his colleagues from Empires SMP. (Which I always find kinda odd.)
But here in the Imp&Skizz Podcast, Pix is the youngest one.
Another Vigil by Pixlriffs
So how do we feel about Pix naming the mining machine VIGIL on the SOS SMP?
Nice throw back to Pixandria and his days as the Copper King for sure. :)
The Skizzleman
There once was a ship in Cherry Bay The captain’s name was GeminiTay The salmon flopped as if to say “Oh blow that goat horn, blow” (huh)
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the fishing is done We'll take our rods and go
Gem cast out her line from shore When down on her a bobber bore The captain called “Grian!” and swore She’d lay that scoundrel low (huh)
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the fishing is done We'll take our rods and go
Before Gem had hit the water The reaper’s fate came up and caught her She led her crew to Pearl’s and fought her ‘Till Pearl fell below (huh)
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the fishing is done We'll take our rods and go
No line was cut, they did the deed The reapers’ rods were thusly freed They launched into the sky and squeed While others cheered below (huh)
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the fishing is done We'll take our rods and go
For forty streams or even more The Hermit pranks came to the fore Exploding chests and traps galore With breaks for fishing flow (huh)
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the fishing is done We'll take our rods and go
As far as I've heard, the fight's still on End crystals float and zombies spawn The Skizzleman makes his regular call To encourage the Hermits, Gem, and all (huh)
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the fishing is done We'll take our rods and go
Soon may the Skizzleman come To bring us sugar-sweet words and fun One day, when the mending book's won We'll take our rods and go
These Stones Remember - cover reveal
A few days ago I posted the full title and cover reveal for my upcoming Pixlriffs-centric (Copper King & Phantom Assassin) story, A Tale of Two Devotions. That beautiful artwork was commissioned from the amazing Sabira | @floweroflaurelin and at the end of the post I mentioned that I had one other commission currently sitting with them.
Well, that commission is now complete, and ready to share with you.
It's the cover for my 178,000-word fic These Stones Remember, and I'll admit that seeing this final image got me feeling incredibly emotional. There may or may not have been tears shed. There were. Oh heck, there were.
So here it is:
I spent almost a year of my life writing These Stones Remember, and Sabira has more than done justice to these characters and this world. The Copper King, Onorait Paix al-Lareiff. His 2,000-year-old present-day version, Pix al-Lareiff. His devoted and faithful Chaperone, Mhenheli al-Q'isaraf. His adorable little soul companion kitty, Malin. And the Vigil and the Statue, and so many other tiny little details that you probably won't even realise have been inserted into the illustration unless you've read the story.
To say that I'm thrilled with this cover would be the understatement of the year. (I know this year is still young, so let's include last year, too!) It was a delight to work with Sabira, and to see the in-progress sketches and eventually this final render, with the beautiful hand typography for the title.
And, if the cover has piqued your interest but you've not yet read the story? Welp, here's a taxi to some sweeping ancient history :)
"The past changes a little every time we retell it." A wandering scholar and his ethereal companion find a long-abandoned treasure. At first glance he thinks has simply stumbled upon a ruined ancient capital, filled with the promise of incredible archaeological treasures and riven through with the history of a long-dead civilisation. But when he wakes up one day and finds the city has come alive around him, its people bowing to him as though they know and respect him, he has unknowingly begun a journey toward redemption for a terrible mistake he made two thousand years ago.
OMG! WOW! Marvelous! Gorgeous! Fantastic! Beautiful!
Sabira | @floweroflaurelin has once again outdone herself. Such a wonderful piece of art with so many great details. I love the two citys in the background, the copper borders, the starry sky, the dunes of the desert, the candles, the light of the Vigil and her amazing depictions of the main characters.
I noticed that Paix's earring has an almost teardrop shaped gemstone? Coincedence?
I think you should be paid for tumblring

From the start of his Enshrouded stream on Monday evening.
AToTD - Full title and cover reveal
I walk these streets I thought I knew...
Coming soon to AO3: A Tale of Two Devotions by Valois Fulcanelli.
I've been teasing this for weeks (probably months) by now, but since I'm deep into the writing of it, it's time that I revealed what the mysterious 'AToTD' stands for... aaaaand what the cover looks like.
You ready?
I am beyond thriled to reveal the cover for A Tale of Two Devotions that I commissioned from none other than the amazing Sabira - @floweroflaurelin!
Those of you who guessed from my hints that this is a story about the Copper King and the Phantom Assassin? You were right on the money!
I'm deep into the writing of it at the moment, and I won't start uploading chapters until it's fully complete. Nor will I show you the full 'book cover' that I made from Sabira's stunning artwork (because that full cover reveals the blurb for the story, and I need to keep some secrets, dammit!) but I'm so excited to share this with you.
Sabira absolutely delivered everything (and then some - look at that outfit, and the armour!) that I wanted for this artwork, and I've been metaphorically sitting on this cover for almost two months xD
There's another commission in the works with them right now, too. Can you guess what that one is for, dear readers? ;)
OMG, that cover looks absolutly amazing, @floweroflaurelin. I love everything about it, the outfif, the colours, the pose, the city with the Vigil in the background. <3
I am super hyped for this new story. I already gathered from the past teasing, that it would include the Phantom Assassin. Can't wait to read what you will do with this character, Valois.
Archeologist's Office in Stardew Valley
In my current Stardew Valley playthrough, I decorated one room as an archeologist's office. It is inspired by Pixlriffs on Empires 1 and 2.
Some items like weapons and rings can't be put on display, so I placed them in a chest. I also included some fruits, representing the froglights from his orchard in Season 2. Oh, and the broken trident in stardew valley looks more like a pitchfork. xD
I rearranged some artifacts, put the trident, the ring and the "froglight fruits" on display, and added a sunflower for saint pearl.

A little pondering about the jewellery in "These Stones Remember":
-----
An earring with a shiny teardrop shaped gem. An old worn down copper ring with a dull emerald. Two souls find each other again. One's hand caresses the other's cheek. A light sparks from the earing to the ring, transfering all the shine and sparkle. The copper ring glistens like new. The emerald regains its deep green glow. The teardrop looses all its inner sparkle.
Two souls reunited Forever
No more tears

After reading epilogue 1 of "These Stones remember" and learning about Mhenheli's earring, I thought about the idea that the earring and Paix's ring are somewhat connected through the power of the Vigil. When they both finally found each other again and the object's are close enough, the bright shine of the teardrop gem transfers to the copper ring with the emerald. Maybe the teardrop gem even shatters afterwards.
@valoisfulcanellideux 's recent pictures of Mhenheli (Maxwell) without the earring brought me back to this idea.
