I do think it is amusing whenever I glance at a lot of discussions about Starfield "being bland" and then seemingly everyone saying that thinks Bethesda could have made it unique and non generic if only they had set it during wartime between the two big factions and/or added aliens, two things that definitely would have made it stand out from other scifi surely. After all who has ever heard of science fiction media set during a war or having aliens?

More seriously it does kind of seem at times that there are some people who just wanted their favorite already existing action scifi game to just get a Bethesda style rpg rather than actually get a new series.

Sansa Stark of course one of the great characters of our times. what if a neurotic twelve year old choir kid got held hostage by her evil middle school boyfriend and then everyone called her dumb for believing that people should be nice. Great premise no notes. Anyhow, one of my favorite things about her is that she is a character who you can put in a cute lil winter outfit and pinch her cheeks and give her lemon cakes and then send her off to experience The Horrors

Beyond the fact that people getting laid off was bad obviously, it has been incredibly annoying to see gamers act as if Bethesda employees deserved it for "doing nothing for 15 years" despite them releasing multiple major releases during that time, including a brand new game that wasn't a part of their established franchises, with pretty standard development times of 3-4 years with the exception of Starfield which took longer for multiple understandable reasons. But since some of them didn't like or don't play Starfield or 76 they decided that the lay offs are awesome actually, and that ESO devs being gutted is also good despite them also actively clamoring for more Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Nevermind the fact that among the people laid off there were multiple TESVI developers, including Bethesda veterans who designed iconic parts of the series, but so many are just defending it as "Bethesda needing a push" and mocking employees being upset that the studio with one of the highest retention rates suddenly having their coworkers laid off without warning. Also the fact that so many gamers also seem to believe that the next elder scrolls will be trash anyways and "low quality and unfinished like Starfield" despite that game being the least buggy game Bethesda has released and it including mechanics that had been requested by people for years, but people just ignore that and still claim that Bethesda has just been "simplifying their games" still and demanding that more people be fired. Gamers are some of the most annoying and entitled people on earth.

I know that Curseborne has the whole emphasis on the Family elders mistreating and abusing younger accursed as pawns but I do think that Primals have it especially bad with their elders just straight up having a habit to eat them. Like if I were one I couldn't help but to roll my eyes if my sorcerer friend was ranting about their elders being a pain in their ass, like buddy I got that plus them possibly trying to eat me without warning just so they can live 5 more years.

On the other hand being a primal means I could potentially be a weregriffin so that's pretty cool I guess and a fair trade

Discussion about Types of Guy in tabletop roleplaying groups is always "the Rules Lawyer", "the Method Actor" and never "Guy Who Always Plays A Human And Invents New Setting-Specific Slurs For Their Character To Call A Specific Type Of Nonhuman Characters" even though I see the last one a lot more.

Mnemon vs V'neef just feels like the Exalted equivalent of Stannis vs Renly, as in the elder sibling who is actually highly accomplished and proven but feared/disliked vs the younger sibling who's main policy seems to be "I'm not my elder sibling/I'm actually popular and better looking"
